@gennamarieseider John Hughes' script for "Pretty in Pink" had Andie ending up with Duckie. The test audience hated it, so they changed it and it became the film we all know today. However, Hughes reportedly hated it and essentially took the whole plot concept, made the lead character a guy and came up with Some Kind of Wonderful. Just a little fyi kind of thing. :)

Ok so I haven't seen this movie in over a decade and had forgotten some parts, so when they went to the art galler y and came up to the painting of her, with the music playing in the background.. i burst into tears.. I didnt expect that.. so I rate this movie a 10 for drawing me in like that.. thanks for posting it
