My wife is American but we live in my home country of Canada. We've wanted to move to the US for several years but the economy, and more importantly the government and it's corruption have us spooked.

And yes there is a huge difference In a republic there are no rights for minorities only privileges because the majority could turn against a minority and destroy it because they want to. but in a republic we cant do that because there are laws inplace to protect minorities. and that goes for religious, ethnic, and any other type of miniority you could think of

I haven't seen any YT vids explaining it, but I do have a degree in English and have done a goodly amount of my own pro se legal work, so I'm confident in my reading of the law. And I actually read the law.
Of course, it's always been true that anybody can be detained for any or no reason by shitassed law enforcement, but they will eventually have to expain it to a judge.
Nothing in this law changes that fact for American citizens.
