I'm taking a History of southern Africa class right now and every time I hear Soweto I think of this song. I listened to this when I was in high school and was never aware of the depth in this song. What a powerful song. My prayers tonight go to those who were killed in the Soweto Massacre. May they rest in peace knowing their sacrifice helped bring down the apartheid system in S.A.
If i ever have the honor to meet them in real life.......I'll thank them for my best memory that they just gave me to this song :) THUMBS UP FOR GOOD MEMORIES :)
I am so happy to find this song here...brings memories of studio session with Marlin at Jazzworx in Jhb...what an honour to work with you MATTAFIX!! I still believe that its a hit that shud be celebrated especially during June which is our youth month here in SA...in commemoration of the Soweto massacre in ‘76
They are indeed underrated, but in my opinion, its a nice thing... not always a good thing for undeniable talent to be exposed and commercialised... i fink that this facts makes em that bit better!
My dedication to BARACK OBAMA - may his reign not only be the most AWESOME achievement & experience of his life, but may it also help to enlighten & empower each & every person on this AWESOME planet, Mother EARTH.
Do us ALL proud brother - show those evil Illuminati folk what POWER OF THE PEOPLE, really, truly means & in so doing Sir, help to UNITE every loving & caring soul of Hers (Earth's) that 'they' attempted to keep apart.

incredible song. loving the new album. "mama let me kill this song for you, after all these years this is Uhuru".
I lived in Cape Town for about 2 months, and this song just brings me back to the magic of South Africa.
