  • @iPhoneBananas A right click is a "Right" click. No a Bottom Right Click or a Control Click, or Two Finger Click.

  • i want one...

  • damn this guy can sure draw

  • wtf lag

  • I'm not convinced. It's so laggy following the pen strokes!

  • @theXaint no, the artist is going to quick for the processor to manage, but notice when he/she slows down it keeps up.

  • @mclmatty still unconvinced. What artist is going to opt for this over another product that you don't need to slow down for? Most artists working in the digital medium are trying to increase productivity, not decrease it.

  • has anyone noticed this device is on the lid of a macbook?

  • @bradnightmare I'm not sure what you talking about, since the macbook no longer has a lid!

  • she appears to be drawing with a program called ArtRage. I use this tablet professionally and it doesn't lag at all (perhaps because i have a newer build of this device). Even using Photoshop CS5, it's fast!

  • what a load of shit, i've seen OAP's with less lag

  • this is magic and thats fine with me.

  • 1500 bucks ..sersly this is going to being so expensive that ull need a down payment

  • What program are you using? i remember i tried it once, but i don't recall the name ;(

  • @ChristianFS1 i want to say an older version of sketchbook pro sense it is 07. newer ones have a really nice interface.

  • wow what the F....the lines appear an half hour later !!!

  • @liesje9876 dont worry man that shit was 07 the macbooks were not as powerful, now you get get a nice beefed one no problem. though honestly even with a reg tablet photoshop is always bugging sometimes if your using some brushes.

  • I'm looking for a mod I can use as a graphics tablet. A legitimate graphics tablet.

    .

I Just don't like bundling a tablet with my laptop.

Problem with this is: To use it as a legit laptop I need to bundle it with a keyboard.

    .

It defeats the purpose of combining the two.

    .

I wish the modbook just ADDED the tablet.

    like this:

    watch?v=P8iV8gdWerk

  • the accutext (TM) makes it possible to use these devices easy!!

  • OMG she has really talent

  • Does it really lag, or is it because of the angle they filmed this?

  • wait... is the screen pressure sensitive or the pen...

  • does it even have a keyboard?!?!?

  • I notice there's a little bit of lag in your brush-strokes. Is this in any way avoidable? I'm considering buying one and I really hate when the brush-strokes don't move exactly with my hand.

  • how much was the pad?

  • can you use your finger on the modbook or is it just only your pen

  • a split second delay when u draw. what a crap tablet. the lines should be instantaneous. reminds me of slow low ram.

  • wow, what a slow response...

  • this has got to be the coolest thing iv ever seen. i started hyperventalateing when i saw it o.o

  • check out the Wacom Cintiq-21ux. apple uses wacoms pen tech.

  • i know. i have a wacom tablet. i dont care, cause this is epic. :P

  • ÔÓ˝ÏÇ◊ıı˜Â¯ˆ¨ØˆÁˇˇÁ‰⁄€‹››fiflfl‡‡°·‚‚—±∏ˆfi›´„„ˇ˝ˆ

  • ipad sucks this things usb port

  • true that

  • why get an ipad when you can get this

  • @dluv4u2 but then you cant get kool apps and the iBook and stuff

  • people who hate the mac os have never given it a chance or tried it for more than five minutes. don't be afraid of change! 

  • How did you add that apple logo to your post?

  • you press option(alt)+shift+k (it only works on a mac) 

  • should of been named Appleworld not macworld.

  • i don't know... I think I'll prefer to use a Cintiq from Wacom

  • which is he programe use??

  • @ulucugur the software he is using is ArtRage

  • wow, look at how bad that thing lags with pen strokes. you could never do any serious drawing with that. it's just a toy. a poor man's version of the Wacom Cintiq.

  • First of all if you've ever used one you get really used to the lagging and it eventually seems like it is not even there. And do you not realize that the same technology that is in the Cintiq is in the axiotron modbook.

  • do these you the same technology as the iphone screen?

  • no the iphone uses touch enabled technology while this uses penabled technology.

  • no it's wacom's technology

  • @weenylem

Is it really?? Ah man, I hope they bring that to windows laptops soon as well...Not like I wouldn't get this, but I really hope that I can use a wacom PC laptop soon.

  • @Samouflage wacom doesnt make a laptop... :-/??? dont you mean tablet pc (laptop with touchscreen capabilities)??? those have been around for ages! you can get one now... just run a search for it.

  • @furvert101

Oh, I know THAT, but I heard they don't have pressure sensitivity on them. I'd like to do some photoshop with that technology--otherwise when you draw lines they're as big as the line setting. If it's at like...11, it'll always draw at that thick, but never less if you try light strokes. Get what I'm saying? Anyways I hope that's a little clearer.

  • @Samouflage yeah, gotcha! you might want to check out the 'Idealpad UI Hybrid' its pretty sweet... its a tablet pc with a detachable screen... :)

  • i can't help but notice the extremely slow response time on this thing. I haven't seen any effective multitouch demonstrations either. Maybe on the modbook pro?

  • do you need a special pc for this thingy???

  • no apple sign on front not real apple product

  • that is why they call it a modbook it is a modified macbook.

  • Coolness!

  • @Vashug: Mac's don't have a horrid operating system. Have you tried Vista lately? Or are you a linux user?

  • Comment removed

  • Are you really that dumb?

Mac OS is the whole collection, like Windows.

Mac OS X is a sub-collection, like Windows NT.

Mac OS X Snow Leopard is one release, like Windows Vienna/Se7en/Seven/7.

  • Cost about $2000 i believe from gain saver. Wonder how we can play games like WoW (Don't say it sux, just only thing that came in mind)

  • shut the fuck up you damn spammer, you made your point twice already!

  • srry...lol i dnt relly mean it i just say it kuz it pisses ppl off id love to have one

    but i still like pc

  • damn! that thing is so cool! I definitely want one of those ^^

  • what's the software name???

  • The lag is not exactly inspiring. If the line isn't being placed as I'm drawing it, it's going to be a serious detriment to accuracy.

  • Actually, macs are better for graphics than anything else. Or are you a biased fan of the PC, or something? If that's the case, comment disregarded.

  • There is horrid input lag on these machines.

  • thank you, my dad keeps trying to get me to get this instead of the toshiba m750, now i have something besides the horrid OS to convince him i dont want a fucking mac

  • This isn't a Macintosh computer...

  • it is^^

  • then why is it called a modbook, and why its always associated with Macworld and mac

  • A Macintosh computer is a device which has been designed and marketed by Apple; I don't really see the brand name 'Apple' or anywhere on the 'ModBook' website stating that the device was designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It uses the Apple hardware, but is it developed by Apple Inc.? No, it's developed by Axiotron, which is a california-based company, therefore doesn't fit the criteria needed to be a Macintosh.

  • Yes, it does use the Mac OS X operating system. For your issue; Macs do have the ability to right-click without the requirement of a physical mouse; by default, if you click in the bottom right corner of the touchpad it activates the right-click command.

  • @Eggyrocks1 must be new.... i havnt checked out any of the new macs in a while.. you can also just have two fingers on the touchpad and click...

  • @furvert101 Yeah, you can also do it that way.

  • @Eggyrocks1 YA AND THE MAGIC MOUSE CAN RIGHT CLICKE TO

  • @Eggyrocks1 Mac's can right click............ Ctrl-Click.

  • @georgescott12345 or u can just buy a mac mouse and right click with that without pressing the Ctrl-button

  • Wow, because you fail to think of another point about the Mac which can be falsified by me, you insult me and try to end the discussion. Funny, really.

  • yeah but 95% of the worlds men love em

  • there's a delay... its not very responsive

  • i bet it's hell expensive >>"

  • i want one :'(

  • Wow that person can draw!

  • Note to artist, is this the artist of Blankets??

  • Excuse my coice of words but using an iPhone to capture great artwork is kind of retarded unless you don't have the money to buy a device that might be expensive but would help you to improove even further.

  • Well, maybe I prefer the 'retarded' way instead of using a stick drawing on a screen. What I meant about iPhone was an example on a device to capture an artwork - so it doesn't mean it has absolutely BE an iPhone to capture an artwork - digital cameras in general are great to do so. And a last thing, I feel it is more retarded to 'draw' on a screen than on paper, I'm sorta of a conservative person.

  • If you draw on the screen you have the option to save it right to the hard drive and upload it where ever at its full quality. your going a little overboard since you can get a good tablet PC now for under $1000. Also it saves paper :) and you have the option to undo zoom rotate and edit without ruining the original piece of art. i use both paper and my tablet but i prefer the table since its more versatile.

  • resolution buddy. resolution. and light fluctuation. and rgb grain. Its just not done, not professionally. I usually use a wacom to draw directly into the computer, or i draw on paper and scan at 300dpi ( standard print res ). If these mod books are as accurate and sensitive as a top end wacom, they are worth droppin 5 grand on em easy. From this video though, looks to be some lag issues, but im keen to find out more, especially about the pro version.

  • this guy is obviously not into art XD

  • what is that program??

  • photoshop, i believe

  • actually its called Art Rage and i think the full versions only $25.

  • Would this work with PhotoShop Or Manga Studio , Realy Need to Know

  • its a mac book look google to see if those programs work with a mac then u should be fine if they do.

  • i think its either artrage or autodesk sketchbook, but it would work with ps too or every other mac programm which supports tablets, I think Manga Studio does

  • is wacom capable? wacom pen is posible to use for this tablet-pc?¿?

  • thats a horrible piece of technology, i used it before and there was a huge lag

  • one thing i like about macs is that, the search for the perfection of some thing rather than putting junk in to the market.

  • is it a refresh rate interference or there is a real delay with the brush strokes? I use ArtRage on my Desktop PC and this is not like that...

  • Modbook is shit. Pen acceleration is crap. No artist would use this shit.

  • lol go to youtube and search how to hold a camera loL

  • no shit

  • is this a regular macbook pro or is this a specail kind that has touchsreen, cause i mean for 3 grand it should be on a regular macbook pro

  • dude learn how to hold a fucking camera

  • its cool, still to much lag for my taste... have to wait til they invent something with less than 0,2 sec lag time

  • so there is a lag!

  • Does wacom graphics tablets have that refresh rates?

  • No, it's just horrible input lag from the tablet

  • I want one!! :)

  • yeh the new ones

  • that's flippin' awesome. =)

  • whats with the lag?

    That would piss me off.

  • i have it

  • no fair

  • how much lag?

  • I love the modbook! The artist does have skills!

  • damn! great artist. whoever is drawing has used a tablet before! lol
