WARNING Samsung tv's burn out just after the warrantie expires. Put samsung tv clicking into a google search to read about all the people that got screwed by samsung. This is a big problem with samsung and they don't care.

what are the advantages of having one? i have satelite tv in the living room but nowhere else in the house. could i extend it from there to a screen like this in my room?(for free) someone please let me know. could i record shows?

what do you guys sugest as a main computer display/ ocasional movie dvd/bluray
It just means you have the ability to use it as a TV. It has a COAX input, so if you were able to get that connection to this monitor, then yes it would work.

The T260HD has a built in T.V tuner and almost the same contrast ratio (deep blacks/whiter-whites). The only diff. is that the non-hd has a bigger dynamic, not too important (only takes place when lights are off).
Yes, if u have direct TV, or what ever, u can split the main cable (with the signal), with a 3-way cable splitter (one IN-Two Outs). Connect one out into your direct TV box as usual. Then the connect the outher out to a LONG ASS cable (depending on distance to the monitor), then into the monitor. whew.......
Enjoy, I would get the T260HD (if u intend to watch TV on it, or connect a 360 or PS3)

It has most of the inputs that i've ever seen in my life. it has 2 hdmi's a bunch of component plugs, and DVI AND RGB. You can connect all of those things at once and switch between them easily by changing the channel. it costs around 300-400 and you can get it at costco and sam's club, I know for sure, they may have em at walmart too.

I figured out what is doing this as I ran into the same problem myself, the TV comes out of the box in "Store Demo" mode, you can see this if you preess the Info button on the TV it will say it, it only comes out of Store Demo mode when you run through the "plus and play setup" at the top of the menu when under the TV source, it runs you through your timezone and channels etc.. after you have completed this process it is no longer in store demo mode and will remember your settings.

hello.i have the same monitor t260hd... but i have a problem. When i set my contrast,brightness etc settings they reboot after like an hour. The screen turns black and all settings are stock again. Do i have to press any sort of button to save my settings. i tried the exit, menu all buttons.I used it with and without samsung drivers.The problem is the same both on dvi and hdmi inputs. Cant save my preferences..its ok for like 50 minutos or so then turns black and then everything is default again
this lcd monitor is simply amazing.. best you can buy right now... i should be getting one in about a month, or earlier if i'm lucky i can't wait. who sings the song your playing i like.

The T260HD is better than the normal 260 btw~

I figured out what is doing this as I ran into the same problem myself, the TV comes out of the box in "Store Demo" mode, you can see this if you preess the Info button on the TV it will say it, it only comes out of Store Demo mode when you run through the "plus and play setup" at the top of the menu when under the TV source, it runs you through your timezone and channels etc.. after you have completed this process it is no longer in store demo mode and will remember your settings.
