  • Mouth...is...watering. This looks absolutely delicious!! going to try this tonight...

  • TVP - usually dried concentrated soy chunks - almost too perfectly simulate the texture of ground beef. You can soak them in beer to get more a hearty meat like falvour - or even toss a a little unsoaked into the chili to thicken it up some.

As a meat eater, I promise you TVP is the only meat substitute that will make a veg chili have the same mouth feel as a meat chili. I like to supplement it with chunks of seitan. Make xtra hot, serve over rice with cheese!

  • @michaelrcooke Yes You are right! TVP works really well for this recipe - although I have not found one that is GMO-free so have not used it in a while...please let me know if you have a source for non-GMO TVP! Thanks for stopping by & appreciate the input. aloha...

  • Awesomeeeeee! I think I'm going to leave the seeds to make it CRAZY spicy! more like a 20 Alarm call the doctors chili :) Thanks!

  • @chekenfil ah...that would be suicide?...if you are not dead, let me know how it goes...
