@zafedz Tough call, especially with the forthcoming turbo option in the V. Honestly, I'd go with the i30...it seems Hyundai, with each new release, improves the steering calibration, NVH, overall refinement, etc., even if slightly, of their vehicles. Besides, the i30 has a much more usable hatch, and its engine is a bit more powerful too than the V's base offering.
@ericj305 i30 ? you sure ? i have never owned a hyundai.. some how im impressed with veloster.. just test drove one in AZ dealer.. it was pretty good overall performance.... i say.. considering the price tag.. i say hyundai over any jap rides..
@vianuchiVeloche Well, I'm getting the Turbo V this summer, so...
But, in base form, and although the Veloster still looks great in any iteration, I think it's a bit underpowered. Now, if this is going to be strictly a city car, which is to say not too much time spent on the open road, then I think the 1.6L is perfectly adequate. And yes, I do think the V looks better than the GT. However, if you plan on racking up some serious highway mileage, then I think the GT deserves a good look.
Going to be a big seller come spring. My wife and I are anxiously waiting for the unveiling of the new Santa Fe (IX45) . I'm hoping that it has the same feel as the new Elantra and Sonata...
Though, I wouldn't mind replacing my 2002 Elantra with one of theses.
Sexy!
