  • Listen Radio Música para Mimos (search in Google) The best songs of love

  • This is the greatest music album of all time. It has jazz, gospel, r and b, etc... It is perfectly arranged and produced. If the world was coming to an end tomorrow,This is the last thing everyone should hear. Remember music is the soundtrack of life. And I don't care when you were born these songs have emotional bond with the soul which never dies.

  • @thepoopie2 Totally agree with you...i grew up with carole king on the record player...my parents adored her...tapestry has always been in my life and now i play her for my daughter who is 7 and she loves carole king....not a lot of artists have that

  • COOL.

  • great boogie woogie ... funky white chick .... superb songwriter .... Hey Morrisette, I hope youre taking notes, this is how its done

  • omg i remembered the words i was 13 when my big brother gave the album, best of her work ever

  • i oove this song listen to the words and you may get it!!

  • Geez......No wonder this album sold 25 million copies

  • the best song she ever did!!!!!!!

  • YEA MAN DIG THAT BASS LINE. VERY WELL PLAYED BY CHARLES LARKEY. NICE PUSSY TOO BY THE WAY.

  • if this woman is still alive then she is a national treasure

  • @ronaldmiltonrice2 actually Carole King is still alive.

  • I believe most of the songs on her Tapestry album were #1 at one time or another in 1971 ... I know I played that album to death.

  • one of the greatest albums of ALL time! texas justice is what i always thought, not a lynching but the story still holds true TODAY

  • I have this as a single on vinyl and in the "B" side is "So Far Away"

  • I was living in Holland when this first came out, everyone was going mad for it. Brilliant LP. LP, a name you don't hear nowadays!!. One of my favourites too along with Rumours and only a handful of others.

  • this old tune would give today's "blues" some serious competition! can only imagine what it would sound like with some horns accompanying her in the deep south. Go Carole!

  • This is one of the greatest albums. Not a bad song in the bunch! My sister saw her and James Taylor in concert in the early 70's, and got to sit onstage! Lucky her! I don't know why I wasn't there. We were only 15 months apart and hung out together alot! Best of friends with my sister. People often mistook us as twins.

  • cancel my last comment, they do talk about a noose, which sounded like news to me iow, idk what this song is about

  • @4string59 lol thats funny dude. but how do you know jack is black?

  • Comment removed

  • @4string59 idont know why, but i always pictured the old wild west with frontier justice and all that shit. but youre right, if you imagine it in modern times, it seems like a lynching. yikes. thanx, peace.

  • @4string59 t's not about lynching. Not many :-) blacks back then went out to buy a shotgun "in the mood for a confrontation"!!

  • Ahhhh Carole!! You're truly one of the greatest! This song has such a groove to it!

  • I wore out more 8-tracks of "Tapestry" than can be imagined, with little doubt that this song being played repeatedly was the cause. That album will always be in my Top 20 of all-time favorites!!!!

  • always liked this tune, got to get my band to learn it!

  • legendary song, awesome voice.

    Yeeeeeeeeeeeees Carol lass!!

  • @likesspice73 ---lol a good reminder---dont drink and post lol

  • @likesspice73 nothing wrong with a little drink, it makes us all more human.

  • Such an under rated song, a true rocker.Long live Rock and Roll, Berry, Strummer and Lennon---go away Rap, Britney and Madonna !!!

  • !#$ing cool song

  • While out driving in beautiful Winnipeg Manitoba Canada this afternoon my car radio was tuned to AM 1290 CFRW The Greatest Oldies of All Time and Raccoon in the Afternoon when this tune came blaring through the speakers. It's almost 39 years old and I had not heard it in a long time, so it was great hearing it again. I was able to verify the song title and artist because CFRW believes in posting a list of their last five hundred songs played online.

  • CANCION DE 1971

  • Went to a Catholic grade school at the end of music class got to listen to records.Always one of the most requested. Haven't heard for a long time. Thanks

  • Classic!! Typical Carole King and I love it. Thanks for posting the orignial version from her Tapestry Album. I play the CD over and over and have the original album from when it first came out. Great tunes on it.

  • 1971 are The Rolling Stones, Sly & The Family Stone, The Who, The Doors.............. and Carole King!

  • A very good year here for the undertaker, Smackwater Jack bought a shotgun!

  • thats when songs were about real people, real characters....

  • lol, whatever the voices are telling you in your head, just go for it, how many times have you been on the news? delusional thirty something living in his parents basement sexually assaults cat in front of neighbors, no one impressed, news at 11.

  • of course you are, of course, we allllll believe you of course. and people still don't believe there should be abortion

  • brings me back in time too I wish I could find more of my favorites by other artists too from the 70's

  • @12brenlee

kenny loggins, janis ian., seals and croft

  • Profoundly insightful and political; dealing with 'the congregation' and the availability of arms, within the loving (no pun intended) arms of a great musical artist.

  • "He didn't think about the noose.." Still true. Oh Jack...

  • this is a funny song. just the way she tells it. lol.:)

normally I would NOT think/find a song about this subject funny but this singer/songwriter makes it amusing just the way she tells this song's story.
