If people stopped paying taxes, the government wouldn't have enough money to fund military escapades across the world. They wouldn't be able to promise millions of people services they can't give. If people kept the money they paid in taxes and spent it the way THEY saw fit, you would see more people actually concerned with said money, instead of what we have today.

Online hackers and spammers have been the cornerstone of Paul's campain. I at first liked his videos until I saw that it was only the online spammers that were making him seem popular and sensible. On all online forums, you see spam messages. Paul followers hack into polls to make him seem ahead, but he isn't and won't be. Thank you spammers and hackers for turning peole off of Ron Paul and away from his message. Your attempts to mislead America has put the final nail in his coffin. Thanks!

My only hopes:
1) Paul will have over 300 delegates at GOP & thus be entitled to be nominated & to address the convention, giving warnings on where we're headed.
2) That the Libertarian Party will still nominate Paul, but if he refuses, then nominate his son, or a like-thinking person.

The poll's that main stream media likes to show on their news are bogus. Ron Paul came in 2nd in Nevada yet the polls prior to voting didn't show Ron Paul leading in 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th. Why??? Because the polls are fake and only meant to sway the morons who believe the lies the news is feeding them. On Super Tuesday CNN showed vote totals for every state at the bottom of their screen all evening, except Montana, where Ron Paul came in 2nd. The media isn't reporting the truth to its viewers.

Polls do not always predict voting results. You can look at Huckabee as example. People who answered the phone may not be the same ones who go out and vote. This is an inherent drawback of these polls, and it exists without any sort of manipulation. As far Montana, the total turnout was about a thousand people, and the candidates were seperated by less than a hundred votes. The state is insignificant, thus CNN doesn't report it.

True, but there's more than market forces at work here. A legitimate candidate gaining a legitimate percentage of votes is not an "inconsequential event."
There are plenty of influential people in the MSM who wanted Ron Paul to just "go away," because he was a thorn in the side of the establishment. That's not illegal, but it's irresponsible for a broadcaster with a public trust.

Huckabee will hang in just so long as it looks like he's getting Ron Paul's votes but when McCain starts to suffer Huck will go. Well that all depends on how you define it. The media started out by calling the top-tier frontrunners by their funraising numbers. Ron Paul dominated that, and then they switched to their polls. Ron Paul is very much still in the race, and you might be very surprised what happens at the convention. It is stunning how Dr. Paul has been marginalized. As far as I know, Ron Paul has not announced his withdrawal from the campaign so this so-called poll is not only unfair, it is meaningless. He has just as much right to be considered as long as he is in the race and it saddens me how shamefully he has been treated. I am a Dem, but I like to see fair elections in America. Ending the Drug War, which has proven to be 30 years of wasteful effort -- sounds like a good idea. Need elaboration on any of those points just given? Have any other reasons?

You might elaborate on how any of that will keep the USA safer from...oh, say missle threats. Having troops in the South Pacific will keep another Pearl Harbor from happening. Of course you couldn't care less about anyone attacking us. And Lord knows that keeping troups in Japan and Germany for the past 50 years has only made them worse and America's deadly enemies, and made trade impossible. No, wait....
Iran and N Korea alone will start a campaign of world domination the minute we leave.

[1 of 4] First, a missile threat coming from an aggressive nation or a missile threat from a terrorist source? Only reason Pearl Harbor happened was because we didn't have radar or satellite technology then, and were caught off-guard. Defending from terrorist attacks is a proposition in expense that the United States cannot afford. If a military attack does come, the retaliation to that attack will be severe -- just ask Japan after World War II ... (more,)

Ever hear of a thing called stealth technology? It's just a amtter of time before many others have it.

No terrorist needs stealth technology -- they can just drive up to their destination and *BOOM*. Defending an area as large as the United States is a fool's errand and would bankrupt our economy for the effort. Guess discussing Mutually Assured Destruction that was so successful during the Cold War would be pointless ... Seems that all you want us to do is become paranoid about an attack that never comes -- its so much easier to destroy than to protect or create ...

Muslim extremeists are'nt the only threat. There will always be enemies of whatever is good and right. Most will have more sense than Muslims. Most will fight conventional wars just as they always have. Terrorists bringing nuclear material into to the USA is doubtful. Buying those materials once they're here is harder yet. This isn't where we have to worry about them.

There have been attacks. There will be more attacks. You don't want to face the fact that the world has always had more evil in it than good. As C.S. Lewis used to say, "We live in enemy occupied territory". The Earth is a very dark planet, much more so than you seem to realize. As long as it exists, there will be bloodshed--plenty of it.

[2 of 4] Besides which, both Germany and Japan are our allies and economic trade partners now -- there's no point leaving our troops stationed there, other than adding another expense to our extravagant foreign policy. Remember my first question, as reply to your initial question ... a military attack or a terrorist source ... Iran and North Korea would be suicidal to attack militarily as the retaliation would be dire. (more,)
