Hear hear, DK! You are truly a great thinker! Why in the fuck did those dumbass sheeple support Obie and all his bullshit lies and pass you over??? Truly the unwashed masses are nothing but stupid fucking sheep, not capable of making any sound decisions on anything. We truly do get the government we deserve. Too bad that those of us that do get it, are taken down with the rest of the dumbass sheeple over the cliff.
Kucinich is one of my favorite dems . I'm glad he represents my state . I'm also glad that the TRUE teabaggers(libertarians) seem to like him . It gives me hope that they're not all retarded !
No. Tea Partiers ARE starting a revolution. There are only a handful of our current 535 elected congress that are worth keeping. Kucinich is one of those few. The corruption must stop, and We the People need to be back in control. Not vice versa. Did you know that only 1/3 of the colonists actually supported the American Revolution in the beginning?
You teabaggers are so funny it's scary . I actually think you all are going to do something stupid to endanger lives . The way I hear you all talk that's what it sounds like . I truly hope I'm wrong .
You know, simply because we're tired of a controlling, non-representative, and bloated government does not make us crazy nor does it make us all Tim McViegh. I happen to be a self employed person in the real estate industry who is sick to death of watching the inefficiency and corruption, and getting taxed to death to pay for it all. And it's Tea Partier. I haven't called you any nasty slang terms.
If you want to take offense to the teabagger term then that's on you . I have been saying it for over a year now and haven't heard anybody bitch about it until recently so I will continue to use it .
The majority of the teabaggers are talking like McViegh and it scares the shit out of people . I really hope nobody does anything stupid .
I've already explained it . Teabaggers are the fringe few nutjobs that think they're starting a revolution . Tea partiers are little girls with they're stuffed animals and imaginary friends !
And this attitude makes you an ignorant azzbag. You've just doused any hope of a reasonable conversation with a bonafide TEA Party member right here. I seriously doubt that with your sophomoric attitude shown here that you've really taken any viewpoint other than your own to heart.
No , your wrong . I have taken many viewpoints and weighed them against common sense and came up with mine on my own . Through the use of fact and critical thinking I have deduced that teabaggers are nuts . So if you affiliate yourself with them then I have no sympathy for you .
Had you really done that, you wouldn't be a progressive liberal in the first place. Let alone an atheist. The teabagger video you've marked as a 'favorite' simply underlines your fixation with this subject. Your mind is closed. Isn't that like a violation of liberal doctrine or something? God forbid you actually encounter a TEA partier with intellect. There are many, many of us with intellect, college degrees, etc. We just don't have a faction of elitist snobs like the dems.
The video I marked is of a guy who makes fun of teabaggers and conservatives . It's very funny .
Second , my mind is always open to GOOD idea's . Not crazy conspiracies or an extreme neocon way of thinking .
Third , collage degrees do not necessitate intellect , or intelligence . Did you see the study CNN reported on yesterday ? It turns out liberal atheists are smarter on average than any other political/religious faction .
Wait a minute. You said prior that you didn't watch the MSM. Second, I don't think you'd recognize a good idea if it bit you on the nose. CNN is run by liberal atheist, so their alleged study is a big yawn in my book. BTW, it's spelled college, not collage.
Oh, BTW, the fact that you believe the TEA Party is full of tinfoil hats and neocons, it's a dead give away that you're a CNN baby. That's exactly how they portray us. Drink some more Dem/Labor Union Koolaid and enjoy the rest of your Saturday, fool. I'm outta here to earn a living.
LOL @ you . Just because I don't watch MSM doesn't mean I don't look at it . ONLINE ! I was looking for info on the earthquake and it was one of they're top 5 stories .
A misspelling is the best you can do ? Wow , you got problems . Just keep drinking your tea and listening to A.Jones/Palin , which ever suits you best , and live in your fantacy world . The rest of us will keep the country running !
That would be 'fantasy'. For your information, I'm currenty reading books on our founding fathers and the great depression, in addition to daily bits of the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, etc. So there goes your 'she's so stupid' theory. Alex Jones may have some good points, but he's far too 'over the top' for most of us to take seriously. Palin's a great lady and wouldn't give you a second glance. As for keeping the country running, we all do that every day with our production and spending.
Poor you ! O.K. I'm typing slower so I don't misspell anything . A.Jones has no "good points" what-so-ever ! Palin is about the dumbest person alive and I never said you were stupid . Just living in a made up world . Any one that believes in a talking snake isn't able to compete on a higher level of thinking . It's not your fault though . I'm sure you were raised that way .
Made up world? Talking snake? Apparently, Genesis as far as you got. I'll choose to believe in my faith, you continue to believe in your OSHA and union bosses. I would implore you to study a bit deeper into the real reasons for the economic decline and decimation of places like Detroit, St Louis and other bastions of liberalism and union labor. Ask yourself how much that union cares about you when there's no more paycheck to collect dues from. The Golden Goose is dead in Detroit.
I have read the entire bible and it's a made up world .
People in unions are sometimes corrupt . Just like everything else . Especially the republican party . Some democrats but not nearly as many as the repubs . What unions do is fight for worker rights , fair wages , and safe conditions on the job . Without that big companies could do what they want . I don't expect you to understand all the things that can go on in the construction trade .
I'm a real estate appraiser and a former UFCW member. I understand far more about the construction trade, unions, and political corruption than you realize. My son-in-law is a union electrician. They only fight for worker rights (allegedly) while there is a paycheck to abscond dues from. Ask the textiles or steel workers how much the union cared as they priced the industry wages right out of our borders and out of a job.
So your alternative is to let companies have free reign on workers ? There is corruption . But it's a lot better than the alternative . As an industrial painter I'm constantly hanging off of bridges and towers . Sand blasting and spraying in the worst environments imaginable . I deserve good pay and a safe environment .
Of course you do, but your union brainwashes you to believe that your employer is always your adversary. That the employees and the employer do not constitute a partnership of sorts. That 'The Man' will always screw the employee without that union there to negotiate for them. BS! Most union negotiations benefit the union far more than their members.
Here you assume a lot . I am a foreman for my company . One of the largest in the nation . I know how they operate . They get by with what they can and hope that people don't report it to the union or the BWC if they get hurt . I don't think they always work against me but most of the time they do . Fact is a fact !
I'm assuming nothing. My son-in-law works for a large union shop. The IEBW did not represent or stand behind injured members when fired, no matter who was at fault. The members were told not to 'rock the boat' for others by the union reps. These were talented electricians, not slackers. The union did nothing. The workers are left utilizing the same employment and worker safety laws of non union members. Those are FACTS.
While your looking things up why don't you look up how well our country does under democrat rule as opposed to republican rule . You will find out that most of the progress in this country is brought about by liberals . And if you look past 100yrs. switch the parties . That's what happened back then . They changed roles .
Who says I'm looking things up? I've studied economics and continue to do so. Look at the 10 poorest large cities in our nation and tell me which party has controlled them. Read about the Great Depression from something besides a public school textbook. You may find a revelation or two. I'm sorry, but I don't buy that you've read the entire Bible.
I have studied the bible for most of my life . I was a christian until about 12yrs ago . I have read it . You can believe what you want .
As for the poorest cities I will have to research it because I don't know . But it still doesn't refute the fact that our country is more profitable and advances more under democratic rule as opposed to republican rule .
Please provide support for your 'facts'. You're not old enough to even remember LBJ, Nixon, Carter and barely old enough to remember Reagan's second term.
So you left Christianity at the ripe old age of 18? May I ask what denomonation?
Your funny . There is this wonderful tool called the internet that you can use to look up facts . I'm not going to do your research for you .I wouldn't expect you to do mine .
I was a southern baptist and then switched to non-denomination . I consider myself lucky not to be blinded any longer than I was . I actually always thought it was far fetched but I practiced anyway . Which is what I assume many other people do too !
No. I'm not being funny. You are claiming these so called facts. They're not supported with real info. You want to make the claim, then you back it up.
As for your trials with religion, I'm sorry for your experiences. Man creates doctrines and skews God's Word in a really distorted way many times. Faith and religion are two different things. Realizing the difference can change your viewpoint drasitcally.
I didn't ask for your sources about the 10 poorest cities . I will find that myself . As you can do with what I said .
As for religion . I don't have faith in anything I can't see or touch or hear . The bible is a book written by men . Fact . People say god guided these people . Fact . Now , if I write a book and get a bunch of people to believe it's true does that make it gods word ? No ! Just like the bible . Faith in god is fake .
The Bible was written by 40 different authors over the course of about 1,500 years. Amazingly, these different authors over a large span of time have messages and references throughout the book that coincide with one another. Should you ever be curious, or perhaps you simply want to challenge your beliefs, I'd recommend both The Truth Project and The Case for Christ. The latter is written by a former hardcore atheist.
No thanks . Religion is an evil that I can't stomach anymore . There are a couple of deities that have the same story as jesus and are older than his story . Krishna , Mithra , Horus , just to name a few . Early christians probably took these stories and and formed them into their own .
As for the dem vs. republican argument, you're missing something about what the TEA Party really is. It's not simply republicans. It's a cross section of many different backgrounds. Many repubs, yes as it's conservative to the core, but no lock step with Michael Steele, GW Bush, John McCain or others. The corruption must stop and the democratic republic must be revived. That is what the TEA Party is about. Liars at the public trough live on both sides of the aisle.
As for the teabaggers being made up of all people , why don't you talk to the REAL ones . Libertarian , Ron Paul , 911 truthers , Alex Jones worshipers . They are the ones that started the movement and view people like you and Palin to be infiltrators trying to silence them . Truly nuttier than your kind , but not much . They started the "tea parties" in 2007 .

i say lower the retirement age to 50. a lot of people arent living to see retirement. and generation x is predicted to have even shorter live spans than their parents.
its a travesty that so many millions of americans pay into social securty their whole lives but then die before they can retire.
Dennis, Not bad but there are some drawbacks, but at least you are doing what you have always done & that is to help us! Stimulating the bottom; will cause people to buy, which in turn creates demand, in turn creates jobs... Their way of thinking is that "hope and see what dies & what stays alive" will not work to our favor and is a horrible idea... Peace...
its actually a good idea. This is a real problem especially for some fields, where young people cant get a job anymore because they are competing with 50 year olds with 25 years experience.
The drawback however, is more retirees will increase ss spending, and SS doenst pay enough to support people. taxes would have to increase, or cut spending on something else.
The better plan IMHO is to do medicare for all, remove employer mandates. That will give companies more income to hire more people
without even researching it fully I can see the critical problem it would have. Funding would be a major issue. TARP was already allocated, this year, but it would run out pretty damn fast.
Medicare for all and no employer requirement to provide insurance is a much better policy.
the number one reason Old people work is because they need health care
now the gov pays unemployed people extended unemployment benefits.
what kucinich wants to do is to let people quite their job and pay THEM unemployment benefits(while calling it social security) so that other people can start working.
haha pay people to sit home, don't we do that with Unemployment already, why not just lower the Full Time work week to 32 Hours! Since we are 20% more efficient then we was 30 years ago!
3. You need to prove that you are actively looking for a job for the periods your on unemployment or you will be charged with Fraud, and sentenced to jail.
4. unemployment benefits are still taxed.
so yeah maybe you'ld want to know about systems before criticising them.
Unemplyment insurance only last for about 3 months
yeah i applaud him for coming up with an idea at least. No idea is ever a bad one. I hate people who just say no to everything without offering a solution. I think the better policy would be medicare for all and no employer mandate
The big reason old people keep working is to have health care. Removing employer mandates would also cut company overhead costs, which means they can hire more people
Taxes might have to go up to cover the cost but Id rather pay 20.00 more tax than pay ins premiums
What an idiot... what social security.... there is no money left and 50 billion wont cover what the government has stolen from the public social security. Unused funds????? What unused funds. If government have unused funds maybe they should cut tax and pay the public back.
Nice idea that won't go ANYWHERE. What's new?

haha pay people to sit home, don't we do that with Unemployment already, why not just lower the Full Time work week to 32 Hours! Since we are 20% more efficient then we was 30 years ago!

1. unemployment doesnt last very long
2. Its a VERY small amount of money
3. You need to prove that you are actively looking for a job for the periods your on unemployment or you will be charged with Fraud, and sentenced to jail.
4. unemployment benefits are still taxed.
so yeah maybe you'ld want to know about systems before criticising them.
Unemplyment insurance only last for about 3 months

not here you can get 92 Weeks, and really when does the Gov. check to see if you looking for a job!

Create a million jobs? Probably just take one million people off the unemployment list.

Tarp doesn't last forever, if you "expand coverage" it will never go away when those funds get used up. Don't expand a ponzi scheme, end it.

At least someone is coming up with possible solutions and not saying NO to everything.

why don't we let all unemployed people retire right now? I bet we can reduce unemployment to 0.

yeah i applaud him for coming up with an idea at least.
