I remember when Neo Geo Gold System was being sold a Shaper Image it was the Ferrari of game consoles back in the 90’s. If you could flip the bill for this extremely expensive gaming system and shell out $200.00 plus for the games… it was crazy. I have friends who still cannot believe how big the game cartridges are. A wopping 7.5 inches X 5.34 inches…wow what the fuck is this?!!! I still have this system and it’s still a blast to play as far as 2d games go.

I was going to buy one recently but I would have destroyed my wallet.. Still, I went for an MVS and got an AES stick and pad (getting there!). I enjoy collecting other stuff as well so I went for the 'middle path' - a full cabinet and an AES are the next step in my SNK journey (Neo Geo Pocket being the first ;P)!

Your so lucky man.how much was the AES?It's like $400.00 and the games are like $60.00.For a system that came out in 1991 that's alot.Also do you have Metal Slug,Magican Lord,Samurai Showdown or King of Fighters?

yeah, in the 1992 the snes has came out, and the neo-geo has way better graphics

If you didn't own a Neo Geo back then you had to make do with cut down graphics of arcade games and small characters. Today the Neo Geo still has the best 2D game graphics. The Neo Geo is like the M14 rifle not many had it when it came out but its still in use as its the best for what it does.

No puzzle games did you say?.garurin,joy joy kid,magical drop 2 and 3,money idol exchange,panic bomber,pop n bounce,puzzle buble 1 and 2,puzzle de pon,zintrick. these are just a thue good neo puzzle games that i have and there's more out there.

well, besides the abundant amount of fighting games available for the system, you have a couple of shooters like Aero Fighters 2 and the Metal Slug series. There are also sports games like Street Hoops and Super Baseball 2020. As far as plat formers go, there is only one that I know of and thats Blue Journey.

Holy S***!! Metal Slug cartridges are INSANELY expensive!!! Metal Slug 1 sells for $560-$800 (depending on what you have with it) and Metal Slug 3 goes for $200-$285 (Depending on what you have with it)...amazing as old as the games are, they are still selling for what a console sales for now LOL
