Agreement: This is good for testing your Bass. I have a pair of Logitech Z3 HD speakers with a sweet sub and this was great on them. I was also using RealTek sound manager with the powerful setting on so I had to have the sub turned down to keep it from rattling (think the speaker's loose, know it's not split). But when I turned off the RealTek, I could turn up the sub all the way and it was still awesome. Another good Bass tester is Grillz by Nelly.

Answer: It's basically what it's called, a sound manager. It enables you to enhance your computer's audio output. Like when playing rock music (eg. Metallica) there's a setting for rock music. There's one for classical, pop, live, club, and so on. It also enables you to switch from only 2 speakers to 4 for surround sound, and even 6 if you have 6. It's got a tester for the virtual sound effects. Headphones and speakers are both affected since it enhances the audio output. Yes it's free.

@sixdaysontherun late response but yea it does, for headphones keep the 30hz all the way up and keep 60 and 125 lowest leave the rest. works for me. realtek manager with vista/window 7. xp one sucks.
