Hypnosis and NLP work when a person becomes suggestive. There are all kinds of levels of suggestibility, each person reacts differently. If you are ready and in reject mode, it will be hard to impossible to influence you. The idea with NLP is that it's not something you are told that is being done to you. Well, I don't think the point (of this video at least) is to 'improve your life'. I think the main point here is that there are a lot of unsubstantiated beliefs around (like hers in paranormal things) that stem from not being critical enough. If people really knew how much could be done with mere suggestion, as in this video, they might be less likely to accept exotic explanations for things which seem extraordinary, but are in fact quite common..

We all have beliefs about different things, you can't be alive and functioning in society without them.
