@cheleni1 Sorry, dude, gotta agree... those strings are quite cheesy and too high in the mix. As soon as they subside, the song starts to cook nicely. They don't seem too have any jazzy harmony to them ether...

The title track from an album that should've been RE-RELEASED ON CD a long damn time ago. For years I thought this was a Grover Washington, Jr. song because I never associated Wilton Felder with soprano sax. I was surprised when I found out it was the Crusaders, but it wasn't too big a surprise. GREAT to see footage of the guys, though.

I love the Crusaders and this is certainly a great example of Joe Samples chops....starting at 4:31. I really could do without the orchestra though. The sweeping string lines smack at schmaltz.

Well the album this was from featured a full string orchestra on all tracks, so I guess they wanted to keep it real....
