But ironically there is already something called the haipad. Check out ashens YouTube Chanel for that review. But basically it was something made by the chinese and labeled as iPads in the UK but its supposed to be "cheaper" while costing more than an average iPad. And it looked like an iPad but running android os.

What really made me despise the Apple Samsung lawsuit is that it occurred after it was rumoured that Apple moved suppliers for the A6 chip. The initial suit was to claim back the same amount of money from Samsung that they had paid for the chips. So Apple gets back the same amount of money it paid Samsung for the chips after they decide to jump ship to a new supplier/manufacturer.

To be fair, people that discover technology should receive compensation of some sort. If everyone got to use multi-touch after the money Apple spent discovering it, then Apple blew money trying to 1-up their competition, only to hand the technology over for free, while losing money in the process. So, I think that there should be some new system for patents/patent licensing that still gets developers of new tech SOME compensation. But, getting a patent on something general like air...ridiculous.

Well, true is that Apple patent the idea of the iPad iPhone etc. ...if Samsung, well knowing that, just start to produce, is just illegal. If Apple doesn't want to sell the patents it is their choice.

Plus Apple "HAS" to follow up each and every patent violation and take cases to court otherwise they are loosing that patent! I am really impresses people talking about patent if the understand so little about it. ;)

@ThePineappleEater no linux makes android. if you reinstall android on your phone (like if you used to have a custom rom. which i havent done but seen) there will be the linux penguin and it will also say linux somewhere in there. also it uses a linux kernel. google just sponsors android and helps make software for it.

Hey Austin! Great talk, you don't do this often, but man you did a great job on this one. I think you should do more of this and maybe make a weekly series or something. Rather than putting short videos every couple of days, compile them together and make a video like this. What I would like for patents to be treated like names, but to be analyzed before approval, if it may be too broad or already in use, any of 2 things: deny patent or let all the current users use it without any fees for already marketed products (do not ban phones for using hyperlinks)
