  • @jarrahalb thank you for the kind words!

  • man was with you all the way until I saw that you were using a Canon :-) (couldn't resist the professional poke) cool vid ! Rock on .

  • @erics1959 LOL heck ill use whatever camera i have in my hands at the time.. i've shot with a nikon D3x and it was amazing.. but im just used to the canon interface so felt more comfy shooting with my own equip.

  • Your very inspiring man, I just found out the answer to my question! So did you go to school for photography or just teach yourself throughout the years like I'm trying to do :)

  • @DPAAA21 Im all self taught never had a day of school in photography, im sure i just opened myself up for flaming but oh well :)

  • When you download to lightroom and then export to PS? Does that keep the file in RAW? Had a feeling LR shrinks the image when you export.

    Thanks man, great stuff!

  • @DPAAA21 Well think of lightroom as your RAW converter inside photoshop.. but you can edit multiple files quicker than the RAW converter in PS. So once i export from lightroom i save it as a PSD and open in photoshop.

  • Thank you soo much for this vid!

    Very helpful!

  • I didn't even make it halfway through this video before I felt the irresistible urge to pause, and comment.

This is hands down, without a doubt, the single best bts/instructional/whateveryouwannacallit video I've ever seen. Amazing. Really great work man, kudos.

  • @sheister thank you so much!!! its good to hear people appreciating the hard work i put into these vids :)

  • I have a small question. The two lights that are behind the subject, would that flash into the lens of the camera??

    Please help! thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • no it would not if you know how to set up the lights with the camera

  • Nice photoshoot & post processing tips...thanks for taking the time to sharing.

  • Nice photoshoot and post processing tips...thanks for sharing!

  • I wish I had a 5DmkII lying around for video on my last shoot. All I got was one model taking an overview picture in my makeshift studio which turned out blurry (modeling lights were off) =[

Keep up the good work though!

  • What a GREAT process video!

  • I absolutely NEED to know what version of "shiny disco balls" is used in this video. Its the BEST VERSION i have EVER heard, and i've heard MANY! Oh, and great video :p

  • Really awesome video.

How long would you say you spend retouching an image on average?

  • @DrShrinker

Hmm it really depends on what is needed. sometimes I dont even do any retouching except for a slight adjustment and sometimes ill spend hours on one image tweaking the background or clothing or anything so its a case by case basis!

    Thanls for the kind words!

  • whos version of shiny disco balls is this??

    Nice video by the way!

  • @barrosinc

This is out own remix we did just for this video :) we might release the full version of the song if enough people ask for it :)

  • @JACOBthePHOTOGRAPHER I would definelty want it...

  • Very Nice Work! Thanks for the lesson.

  • Nice models and excellent tutorial!

What software did you use for the 3D virtual tour?

  • I would like to know what software you used as well, and where to get the 3d models of the light modifiers and strobes.

  • This is up with the top 3 tutorial videos I have seen! I own my photography experience to people like you that take the time to share the knowledge in any way or form. I really appreciate what you have done here! Thanks sooooo much for sharing.

  • @aquaphotoboy

Thanks so much for the kind words! I have a bunch more coming out very soon so stay tuned!

  • Great work JTP!!!!! , you were using the clone and healing brush alot correct.

  • yes I was using the clone and healing brush alot :)

  • AHHH that first song is stuck in my head :)

  • @heorogar its "shiny disco balls"

  • that was crazyy!! hope im that good in photoshop one day

  • Saw this through POTN, great work. Thanks for sharing! Subscribed.

PS: "You could literally sit here all day, just retouching and retouching and retouching." Haha I hope the model doesn't hear that!

  • @ssnxp LOL no noooo thats not what i meant!!! I meant with any photo you could retouch till the end of time with tiny hairs etc... hmmmm maybe i should put a disclaimer about that huh.. she really is a beautiful girl just some angles and poses need a tiny bit of touch up.

  • nice...whats the plugin that you used to thin the hips and the arms?

  • @giddieup Hey there its just the liquify tool... I think i'm going to make an annotation on that because I forgot to add it specifically in the video :)

  • Thanks! yea i did a lot of talking during the photoshop section but i had to speed it up to get it under the 10 min rule for youtube I might release the FULL talking section of it if i get enough interest in it.

  • Great tutorial and video! Look forward to seeing more. :)
