When I moved to Europe over 30 years ago my Loggins & Messina records were the first things I packed!! Along with my guitar of course!! Love these guys!!
Such a wonderful feel good song. It reminds me of practicing with my pony league baseball team at lawndale park in chicago in the early 70's. I can smell the field and the bubble gum every time I hear this song. What a great feeling.
Ah, life before the internet, before HBO and Red Box and cell phones, in those wonderful & loving days where people talked to each other & the songs on the local radio station could be understood & which truly touched your heart.
songs are printed on certain days, recorded on others and copywritted.however, they are from their airtime time play time peak time to date them spwecifically.this is officially from 1973.so,we're all a year younger.

Saw them in concert Summer of 73, great concert. Jim Croce was the warmup act, 2 months before he died Wish I could go back to that Summer, what a great time it was!!!!!
Songwriters supreme! Peformers extraordinaire. Beautiful voices and beautiful songs.
@sebastianmom.... There are places to go on the internet to get your cassette back. Of course, it would be a cd now, but its hard to believe you haven't replaced it yet? :)
I remember my husband and I had this casette tape, when we broke up this was one of the ones we fought over...I miss the casette and truth be told I miss my ex...however he is remarried...maybe I should get over it ...it's been 23 years now. Anyway great music...simplier times...happy times.
We saw L&M last fall...they were better than EVER! Really excellent concert if you get the chance to see them! Spectacular! The band was great as well...
I think you're the first person to post this mix. They (or just Kenny Loggins) did another mix which isn't as good. I haven't heard this version in years. Thanx for posting.
I LOVE this song and was a big L&M fan from the first album. What a charge years later to work with Merel Bregante - one of the all-time best drummers/percussionist and a sweetheart of a guy. This whole band was incredible and L&M couldn't have been what it was without them. Too bad the reunion band didn't include them - just good young cats playing what the old band already created. Still a tribute to them. Great song - great band.
Also the 1st song I ever heard from L&M in 72. Fell in love with them and saw them in concert many times over the years including their reunion tour. Such great music! Thanks for posting. . . lots of really good memories!
This is the first song of theirs that I heard and I fell in love with it....I even called the radio station and ended up trying to sing part of so the DJ could tell me who it was. Been a fan forever and will get to see them in Sep at the Hard Rock in Biloxi MS!! Thank you for posting.....
LOVE these guys!! This is one of my favorite songs; never tire of hearing them, but...Is it me, or do they look blissfully stoned?? Ahhhh, those were the days;-)
Does anyone have the 45 single/alternative version of this? AM radio, in particular, played it a lot back when this song was a hit---a slightly faster, more upbeat version.
A time when we had REAL music!!!
