springy mats do not allow for higher jumps, because the internal friction in such a fabric will be higher than the internal friction of the metal springs (or glass fiber springs). and friction losses are what keeps you down and low. so an unelastic mat with specially designed metal or glass fiber springs is the way to go, at least until someone figures out something better.

Yep. This is a Ross bed Rebound trampoline, not a Euro Tramp. Euros are way harder to bounce on and you don't get any where near as much height.

the three kinds of beds are the normal black bed like in round tramps, then there are wire beds (Australian tramp), and Web beds. the web bed is the best type, and eurotramp is kinda like a brand, not a bed type.

I do indeed, but the way I've always looked at T&T is an offshoot of Gymnastics. I'm not saying it's not impressive, as I'm damn impressed by what the T&T guys/girls do, but I just don't see it as something that belongs in the Olympics. I believe in the true roots of Gymnastics, the 6 events for men, and the 4 events for women.

Gymnastics wasn't one of my top favorite sports. But I agree with trampoline standing apart from gymnastics because they really are completely different sports.

Trampoline is a lot better in my own opinion because you do feel a lot more free. Plus there really is a lot less restrictions then on floor. I guess I really just liked the sensation of almost flying so much fun!
