In order to get into the room, you have to go into Sinclair Spirits and behind a desk, there is a secret switch, which lowers the stairs. Also in Sinclair Spirits, you'll find your 2nd Power to the People machine and as soon as you turn around, the statue will come to life and attack you...in the dark.

You have to kill the first person then put his photo in the case, then kill the second guy and put his photo at the display case. Then you will have to fight a swarm of splicers. You have to kill the 3rd guy and then put his photo at the display case, then you'll meet Sander Cohen.

Theres a button in Sinclair Spirits that opens a door. That leads underground to a Power To The People Machine. After you go use it and you come back up. The stair case will be open.

@DeathnoteBB - they aren't "stone" Splicers, merely covered in some form of plaster. The same can be seen on the bodies of Cohen's "masterpiece" and other examples of his handiwork around Fort Frolic.

I just decided to whack one of those manicins as I was walking through that room, I turned around after walking for 5 seconds turned around and saw the splicer posing as a statue. I hit him with a wrench and he died instantly. I killed all the splices before I reached the tonic.

There is a bar nearby the stairs. Go into the bar and search the counter. There you will find a button. Press it and that opens a secret door in the bar. Go into that room and you'll find a weapon upgrade station. Use that and then the door will open. I'm not sure why they make you jump through so many hoops, but they do!

this puzzled me too the first time i played.

there isn't any sort of lock or mechanism to open the bars blocking it.

but once you complete the entire level and are ready to leave fort frolic, go back and the gate should have cleared, allowing you to go downstairs

The thing I like about Bioshock is that it has alot of secrets for you to access. For instanse the other day I was exploring a little more and found a code on a piece of paper under some things. I used telekinesis to whip it out and it was a code to a stash of ammo and other things.

There is a switch behind the bar in Sincliar Spirits and it opens a door in the same room, there is a weapon upgrade station in there. Once you upgrade a weapon you go back to the stairs and the grate is gone.

to get in this room go into the place in Poseidon Plaza it's right in front of you when you o up the stairs and it has some of those white statues.

go behind the counter and activate the door to open.

go inside get the "power to the people" upgrade and there will be a statue behind you which is a spider splicer in disguise kill it go out and go down stairs and the little cage door to the basement place will be open get the tonic/plasmid.

hell no. you can almost constantly hear them walking around. in posiden plaza (where the big daddy is shown in this vid) there are about three or four walking around. they are pretty hard to kill unless you have a crossbow.

the trap bolt arrows carry an electric line behind them. its effective at trapping the big daddys becase if they move, they get shocked. these holes are how the little sisters navigate through rapture. only the big daddys caan pull them out.

Not necessarily. No info has been released. It's altogether possible that the protagonist isn't the same as the one in BioShock1.

The only thing we know is that there's a woman with the ability to create cities with her mind in the game. It's even unlikely that we should be in Rapture, though possible. My thoughts are that the woman was a little sister who wasn't saved and indulged in all that adam, which made her go insane and nigh omnipotent. But all we can do is speculate.
