  • yeah right, social networking is all about passion, more passion, more followers, more market.

  • When are you coming to Israel Gary ???

  • He made wine popular. Wow, that's an achievement.

  • as long as you have imagination, idea, drive, and action, you can make any type of business grow. seriously.

  • He is totally right, I didn't know anything about marketing and was hired by a loan officer because I was tenacious and signed him up on some social sites and engaged people in conversation and created content and it went viral from there. Now I am working for a Corporation doing the same thing!

  • He's talking about VOKLE from 1:30 to 2:00. :)

  • Oh Gary I miss you.

  • Fantastic message and content, keep it up Gary!

  • GREAT. CONTENT. If you don't care, if you don't respond to your followers, if you aren't passionate, you won't get it. It's ok though... The ones who do, understand this, embrace this and allow themselves to succeed! It's a new day! Thanks GaryVee!

  • Unless you've read the book, this won't make sense to most ppl. But I like Gary. I tweeted him yesterday about how awesome he and his book is. He tweeted back by thanking me. He's definitely a man of his word & it's sad that some ppl don't GET THIS! He's GOOD IN MY BOOK! FIND YOUR PASSION & GO AFTER IT!

  • Gary has some points, but I dont like his body language which makes it very hard for me to like him.

  • @Jimenezz89

yeah, well you would be pumped too if you made money out of this like he does.

    I don't like him either.

  • I'm shocked that people think Gary is full of crap, a "Tony Robbins" wannabee, etc. It's super-amusing to me. There's never been anyone who "got it" more than he gets it. Just like the reporters missed the message for 9:45 seconds of the clip, these folks must just be "missing it" too. Good lord. The world of sale/marketing/branding has changed dramatically over the past 5-7 years. If we want our companies to SURVIVE we'd better start listening! LOL!

  • @NeverTooLateToLive @NeverTooLateToLive so Apple is so big because it listens and cares to what customers say. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @z00h right, monopolies in whatever field is the key to riches. Become a too-big-to-fail bank (totally supported by taxpayers) and you'll make out just fine.

  • @rocket881 @neocon6716 - when you do what you love you are willing to put those hours in.

one big difference between Gary and a lot of other people is his hustle and most importantly he cares. I emailed him (true to his word) he got back to me 6 months later and we have had email contact on a regular occurance. He preaches to interact with your community and he is 100% the real deal. If you create great content, care about your community, & entertain them you will win. IMO thats his message

  • This guy is branding himself as an expert and talks, talks, talks, but doesn't really say anything. The only branding he is doing is being a professional bullshitter for social networks. When you whittle him down he is just evangelizing social networking. So the question is what social networks are paying him to evangelize this hype around branding on social networks. He is no different then a convention booth barker!!! A glorified booth dude! Cause he is definitely not a babe...lol

  • Gary is like a white jewish yoda!!!! I love this guy! We need to get into what hes saying so we all dont miss this one too!!!

  • @jeffreydavidgamble thnx so much bro!

  • This guy talks too fast to suit me. 350K on Twitter?

  • I'm amazed when I hear people say someone is "saying exactly what so and so said". That's like saying why is Pepsi launching a cola when Coke's already doing it? Because there's a market for it! And let's face it, the person who digs Tony Robbins may not dig Gary V. or the next pundit but ahhhh when they hear Ms. X say it (even if it IS the same thing), they might respond. So don't hate, appreciate.

  • She missed the whole point. Rather you buy into Gary or not. It has to be frustrating to talk compassionately on end about a topic to discover the audience wasnt listening the whole time.

  • I love your vid! Good work. Check mine too on my channel.

  • I bought two copies of the Gary's book, Crush it! I devoured it and gave one to a friend. I am a big fan and student. This video put a lot into perspective for me. Thank you Gary.

  • I love your vid! Good work. Check mine too on my channel.

  • This is good!

  • What you have to remember when watching gary is that he has (still is) hustling like crazy, from being first gen immigrent, lemonade stands, baseball cards, liquer store to WLTV he's worked his ass off. It just happens that he's mad passionate about cusomer interaction (for use of a better word. Eppic guy.

  • Love this video!!!

  • BlancMagazine Loves this!!!

  • I love how all these people on here are all but appreciating this. You can criticize all you want. Fact of the matter is that if you don't try it, you'll remain clueless, etc. You'll be surprised how much you can achieve with a little effort.

  • Cuzifeellikeit, you make a good point. Same old bs, all the time. I bet back in Jesus's day, they were selling be like jesus seminars.

  • doing what you love - I digg it

  • Hey Gary, Since you say you are always listening to your commentators, answering all your emails and comments and engaging etc.

Here's a clear simple question for you.

Did you pay people to manipulate your book reviews on Amazon?

  • almost a million followers on twitter what do you think

  • @EdmontonPennyBids what do you mean?

  • @RamonAllnightlong 852,379 Followers and you think he needed to pay people to manipulate his review. This guy has a huge following people love him.

  • I LOVE WHAT YOU DO!

  • Hi topcultured

I always enjoy watching your videos and I will be back again to watch more soon as they really are of top quality.

    Cheers to your success.

    Mark McCulloch

  • i didn't listen to anything... Christine Romans' legs are amazing

  • @rocket881 you should go outside more often...

  • @rocket881 I hope she reads this. How nice.

  • I'd like him more if he didn't have a paid for army of people in some emerging economy to manipulate his Amazon reviews - I guess he took a page out of Tim Ferris's book with the 4 Hour Work Week in that respect.

  • gary vee is such an inspiration! keep hustling brotha...

    check out some gary quotes

    quotesbygary[.]com

  • 8:40 - 9:05 is hilarious. "I mean I don't know I made that up...You know what I mean" LOL

  • Gary You're the man!

  • Crush It is such an incredible book!

  • It's beyond that.. It's manifesto for monetizing lost passions. IT MAKES YOU BELIEVE AGAIN! =]

  • Thanks for the clarification bro =D YOU ARE SO RIGHT, I actually have the book next to me at a coffee shop. I feel like taking a glance at it prior to learning how to use Joomla, a CMS.

  • If I hear another Guru tell me to follow my passion I'm going puke up some good passion fruit!

I have made it a lifelong hobby of mind to study successful people. From Bill Gates, Tiger Woods, Gary V., Tony Robbins, Michael Jordan, etc etc.

What they all have in common is not really passion. It's simply the ability to work 100 hour weeks their entire life. The secret to riches is just work 24/7- you will be succes

  • lol I think your missing the fact that they loved what they did. That's what the real secret is.

  • Only so many people are able to be seen as "the reference" or the "go to person" for wine, golf, plumbing, & every other industry. They have the luxury of working from home producing videos and ranting. What Gary doesn't seem to recognize is that leaves a hell of a lot of people, that will have to continue working for companies "or the big bad corporate boss as Gary/Tim Ferris would put it" to maintain the economy - and he should be thankful that the 9-5 'slaves' keep the economy ticking.

  • in most of his lectures, he is directly addressing those interested in the social media network....

also, not everyone's passion is to "produce videos and ranting" some people aspire to be doctors or lawyers or governors or pharmacists, all of them perfectly "productive" members that can "keep the economy ticking"

also, most of the people in the world are pussies, so if you actually want something, you have a good chance of getting it.

  • Totally over rated! All Gary V is doing is ripping off Tony Robibins who already sold a gizillion seminars, dvds, etc with what message I ask? Follow your passion, lol. Gary V is Tony Robbins on steroids. Follow your passion. And, the real key is....wait there's more. Just work 17 hour days 6 days a week. How many of you reading this are willing to work 6 days a week, 17 hours a day. If you are, you will make it. If not, Gary ain't gonna help bro. Truth. Deal with it.

  • Someone has marked this comment as spam but it isn't. It has obviously touched on a raw nerve.

  • @neocon6716 - personally I feel you miss the point - pretty sure he's not trying to be Tony Robbins! He's just saying what he believes in - follow your passion.

  • @neocon6716 Not quite true bro. He is doing that what you say, yes, BUT in a MUCH MORE practical way. He is literally telling us how to use today's tools to pull a Tony Rob. Which is very different than the follow your passion seminars in the first place. Also, what is the problem with working hard to make it? Doesn't that kind of make sense. It seems to me that if you don't work a lot towards what you want to be then you won't be that. You are just arguing with common sense man.

  • @neocon6716 well they did say the same thing about tony robbins and he says it himself too, that he just "stole" ideas from people and used them himself. Tony can also be described as a Jim Rohn on steroids and jim can be described as a napoleon hill copy cat and the list goes on. The idea that only one person can construct an ideology and be the only one is totally absurd.

  • @neocon6716 I respectfully disagree with noecon6716. I have studied Tony Robbins for years and while I love Robbins, Gary is using platforms in a way that Robbins does not and explains the platforms so we can understand how and why to use them. Once we understand the platforms THEN, we can apply what Gary or Tony Robbins calls passion.

  • @neocon6716 Super sad u feel that way.. I really am, hope we meet one day

  • @neocon6716 and as almost always he fails to mention that, despite the impression his trying to make he didn't start from zero and passion wasn't his biggest advantage. The small licker store from NJ is turning over 60 mil a year. Yeah, drop that shit, cut yourself from this easy secure source of income and try conquering the world using passion only. What a load of obnoxious, loud, fake "ghetto", fucking bollox this bloke is .

  • @neocon6716 Then those people shouldnt complain about being underemployed or underpaid or hating their job if they do nothing about it to change it. Whats different here from Tony Robbins though is he practices what he preaches. @ twitter gary and you'll get an honest reply.

  • @neocon6716 if you have something your truly passionate about, you'll put the work in necessary to be successful. if you're cool with living life with mediocrity and just leaving a tombstone behind then do so. Who cares if he's ripping off Tony? In my view, the more people that follow their dreams the better, the world is a happier place.....bro.

  • @neocon6716

Develop time management and you wont have that problem. Your the type of guy that will always work the 9 to 5 and be the employee instead of the employer and feel you can judge the guy at the top. Whoa, hard work, how dare he recommend that! Enjoy your boring life. Gary is a genius...truth...deal with it.

  • Alright...

    BABIES...babies everywhere!

  • I was looking for a decent, informative video about the basics of social media to post on my Squidoo lens. I chose this video because it will help many people who are beginning their social media journey.

  • Man, why can't more people that want to go into business and use social media to do so, just have the honest decency to use the time to build the chops and then talk about it. awesome!

  • Gary is great. Once a person/company/organization defines WHY they do what they do (i.e., passion), then people will gravitate to what you're all about. Like attracts like. Passion is authentic. Passion is emotionally-charged. Passion and inspiration go hand in hand. Companies/organizations are more successful if they have inspired employees/volunteers. Gary is an inspirational speaker -- not a motivational speaker. There's a paradigm shift going on and he's riding the edge of the wave.

  • Gary nails it as usual. My fave part of this is "You know where that started wrong? 'Somebody told me.' Just DO it...come from the heart...everybody's trying to figure out how to 'game' it, how to use it. That's just a total wrong approach. Use it to communicate, that's what people like. GAME OVER."

  • I love Gary Vaynerchuk. I think everyone should hear his message.

  • Just Awesome! thanks. Gold nuggets all thru the piece. Gary, I'm a fan now and I love wine too!

  • Very inspiring!

  • I love that comment at the end... "This man has changed my life".

    Gary crushes it on CNN!!!

  • crushed it
