52 is just like Jeet Kune Do. Its only a bridge to help you get to the next level. In 52 theres is no set way of punching or Kicking just like Jeet kune Do. They are very similar because there are design to intercept the Fist and counter.

Jeet is Based off rhythm and 52 is based of rhythm. Muay Thai is brutal period because of its hellish nature. But like i said befre 90% of all fights go to the ground so get your ground game up. Nakmeezy when are you going to join K-1?

There is no hellish nature in muay thai. True it is very brutal but beautiful at the same time. Muay thai also goes off of rythm which is why they have a live band playing woodwind instruments to pace the fight. Alot of fights end up on the ground but they ALL start standing up. I know how to shrimp,pull guard and defend against submissions. I love the 52 which is why I cant stand seeing a poser with no heart or skill making a mockery of our martial art. peace

Nakmeezy is right. Every style or system has vulnerabilities. By that logic, the greatest prizefighters like Sugar Ray Robinson would be vulnerable to a leg sweep or other wrestling takedown. The greatest wrestlers would be vulnerable to a Tyson knockout uppercut. When you have a top-tier athlete like Rashad Evans saying 52 is the "best dirty boxing out there," I think that speaks volumes.

Nice vid. I have respect for the art and style of 52 blocks but I cant help but say wouldnt the main weakness of this style be going against a grappler? Such as jujitsu, or any form of standup restling? Even a skilled boxer can easily get in and counter this art. Dont get me wrong, I like the blocking techniques, and you guys do promote something positive which is good.

What do you mean by stand up wrestling? Are you referring to greco,thai clinch? What you just saw was a small clip of 52. I have decent hands and found myself wondering why I kept getting popped in the face. 52 has techniques for all type of situations. As far as a weakness goes, all arts have areas that can be improved on. Sanda throws negate thai clinch. Ground and pound strikes negate the bjj guard. And so on and so on. PEACE.
