This is not a band! It's a duo. While I appreciate the minimalism, they need a drummer and a bass player. So many musical acts are dumping the bass player now. Yeah Yeah Yeahs, White Stripes, and the KIlls have no bass player. The last group to do that was the Doors 1965-1971

not VV's best performance, but I still love The Kills. btw, I think the smoking's not really cliche... I never see any bands doing that these days. It's definitely part of the reason I like them so much though ;)
