i was 17 years at this concert....im 50 now...It was the best time in my life as far as music is concerned....Here in Houston, we thought George Clinton was a God.....he could do no wrong....Thats why most of the live vieos were shot in Houston....we tore the roof off the mutha!
I alway wanted to go to their concert. My mom would not let me. Parents just don't understand. Its just like I hoped it would be. The Mothership has landed. The Brides: Disco to go.
Yo I just need to know was that Bigfoot still kickin hard on those drums or had he left by this time as well cause I believe it's still him his drum kit was ridiculous his cymbals were huge bringing that big sound out and to ArgoLupus that's actually Skeet on the bass not Bootsy though we can tell from the way he's playing that Bootsy trained him but all I can say about this is damn when they brought the funk nobody was touchin them at all
i'm a 21 year old white artist in detroit, and my buddy used to live across the street from United Sounds in a closed down restaurant called "The Place". i've heard a lot of great stories about these guys, they used to eat at the restaurant all the time, and they'd have followers camping outside the studio. for what ever reason, the only music i play on a regular basis is the parliament/funkadelic/clinton discography. that's my music theory in a nutshell.. these dudes taught me how to be myself.
@nooloo3000 Because unlike most 16yrs today, you appreciate and understand GREAT music. Today's music sucks. I'm 27 years old and rather listen to this than anything that is on the radio station today. Keep funkin young starchild. keep funkin
Dig that you little youngsters!! I'm 38 yrs old and you like it because it's the good sh#t and not any of that itchy scratchy keboards bullshit with auto-tune songs!!! This is real music and ONLY people with EXCELLENT EARS AND TASTE WILL DIG THIS!!!!

Get off your high horse dude. I love this music but it is not pop. You cannot compare the two. This is too sophisticated for average consumers ears hence why simple music will always make the real money.
Just like everybody knows the Beatles by name: (John, Paul, George, Ringo) - to me, I call my P-Funk heroes by 1st name or nickname only:
George, Bernie, Eddie, Billy, Tiki, Bootsy, Gary, Glen, Ray, Grady, Fuzzy, Calvin, Maceo, Fred, Catfish, Michael, Blackbyrd, Skeet, Junie, etc. (Shit, I forgot all the girls). I like using their names like they were household names. Like they were those kind of heroes. Maybe there'll be the Chocolate Mothership, like the sequel to Yellow Submarine, one day.
wow someone who has the same thoughts i do......finally p-funk power my friend! Its the way the unfunky music industry is today............people dont know what there missing.
