Hardly no risk of brick installing the homebrew channel. If you want this, you need to downgrade IOS35, which IS under IOS200 so there is a risk of bricking, but low. Just load NeoGamma through the homebrew channel (not as a channel) and installing cIOS messes with IOS249 which means no brick risk. Does anybody understand me?
Burn them at 2x. It is slow as shit but that is what I had to do before I switch to using a external Hard Drive.

is that a dvd-r or dvd+ r? i only have dvd+r discs and every time i burn a iso gamecube/wii game on it i get an error on reading the disc

yes, and you have to install neo gamma or something of that sort, and then you need to patch the ios's, just read the tutorials. It is very simple.

Just check your wii menu version and make sure you follow the instruction made for your wii, and you should be just fine.

Yes and no. You can play backups with a modchip (60$) or just install cIOS and play them for free.
