@steveismean Actually, Ryu was very OP in sf4. That's why he was nerfed in SSF4. He had that broken super fireball link and broken SRK recovery when trading hits that allowed him to use his braindead OP ultra links too easily. He was probably worse than Sagat in SF4.

@TeitiTT if you are talking about the Ken double shoryuken, yes you can do it on most characters even outside the corner. It's called a kara shoryuken though, just do a regular weak shoryuken but before you press punch, press medium kick. It sounds a little weird but practice it and you'll be able to do two of them.

Question about Ken's taunt bonus. If you get the damage boost, when you attack but your opponent is blocking does it use the boost or not?

I know you posted this a while ago, but it works like this:

After you taunt with Ken, the first combo/move you land with does 31% more damage.. If you whiff a poke or a poke is blocked, the bonus is gone.

People often mistake Ken's taunt as just a taunt and that people are doing it to piss off an opponent, but it's usually for the damage bonus.

How do you connect two SRK's with Ken?

If they are in the corner then you can simply do another DP. If it is midscreen against some characters (I think Necro, Q and maybe Hugo? If not more) you can do another DP soon after landing (because of their big hitboxes).

But if you want to double-DP midscreen against most characters you have to kara-cancel the DP (do a DP, then when doing the next DP motion when you hit down press MK/HK then hold at down-forward before hitting LP)

Find some vids on here for "Kara SRK" that will explain.

skilled ryu players charge the denjin longer than usual if they know the opponent is going to parry thus rendering their parries useless. if theyre going to jump away, then they'll release it sooner. thats how i play it like and it works 90% of the time. fireball at first hitting them is a must if youre going for a 2 or 3 hit.

for those who dont believe me, its true. fierce into fierce tatsu does much more damage than a simple back throw. in addition to that, you get an extra stun making a 3 hit denjin an automatic stun whereas a 3 hit denjin after backthrow doesnt get that full stun.

denjin is a REALLY good super if you know how to set it up well. yes people can parry it but if you set it up right, then its hard to parry. the denjin is a great way for a comeback too.

denjin is a very unique super in that parrying it can be rather difficult at close range. i have parried full denjins against people who throw at ranges, but skilled Ryu players can make it almost impossible to predict. Plus, it comes at a very fast speed.

The thing about denjin is that you can usually only set it up well when they're grounded and, it can be parried(like everything else in the game). But it is unblockable, so thats where its use lies.
