  • Moose are one of my fav animals.

  • <3 Moose

  • awesome

  • ok move away now i can shoot it hahahaa

  • Damn that's a huge animal

  • Comment removed

  • k but we shoot them all the time so why save it?

  • @sgtsnakeeyes11 Shooting something quickly for population control and food, is faaar different from sitting back and watching it die a slow, painful death.

  • Comment removed

  • @sgtsnakeeyes11 We have faaaar more Moose than wolves here and I hunt for food. Something about chemically enhanced meat that has been manhandled in a grocery store just doesn't whet my appetite. As I am typing this a human is dying a slow, painful death....shall we just close all the hospitals and leave them to it?

  • @Ajidamoon Chances are a human wasn't dying when you typed that. Are you equating the value of a human life to that of an animal? Are you living so high off the hog that you need to kill more than necessary under the ruse that it satisfies a personal preference for a certain taste and texture which is more important than the life of an animal? Buy organic? Go camping and set up targets? False paranoia and personal preference doesn't suffice as a legitimization for unneccessary killing.

  • @sgtsnakeeyes11 LOL....you're kidding, right? I am a professional Chef, and also worked in a slaughterhouse whilst dong my apprenticeship. know perfectly well how commercial meat is treated....and if you did, you likely wouldn't be eating it either. I am also a First Nations Indian.....its hardly unnecessary killing when I use 90% of the moose, and can live an entire season from one. It isn't my problem you have no idea what you are eating.

  • @Ajidamoon Your indigenous identity and cooking credentials are quite irrelevant i'm afraid. Justifying something unnecessary by proclaiming that you use 90% of that which is unnecessary only explains your reasoning within the act, not your reasoning for the act. This is my third year as a vegetarian and i'm well aware of the atrocities committed within slaughterhouses. However, your response only confronts one of my accusations. Am I to believe this is because you cannot justify your actions?

  • @sgtsnakeeyes11 So what you are saying, is that I must eat what is available to me in grocery stores, only because it is there, and anything else is irresponsible? I suppose you tell that to everyone who has a home garden then, that they are putting farmers out of a job, whose produce fills the store shelves? Ridiculous. Where I live, there is a moose overpopulation....so much so that they are coming out of the bush as there isn't an abundance of natural predators here..

  • @sgtsnakeeyes11 And I live in rural Northern Ontario, where cities and towns are few and far between...so it isn't man's encroachment causing them to come around. I dismissed addressing the rest of your comments, as they were not worth addressing. Perhaps it is you who is being wasteful by not eating the cows, chickens and pigs that fill the grocery store.....provided for you, regardless of your vegetarian status.

  • omg i cant beleive i found this the girl is my grandma her name is ginger and guy at 1:03 in the orange jacket is my grandpa dan they both life on loon lake washington hahahaha

  • When he got up he was really pissed with those ears.. crazy moose dont get they saved your life.

  • @dtiydr Yeah i know what the fuck? Why don't animals understand and be grateful? idiot.

  • @batmannotahero They should have thought him some manners before letting him go, way to little of that in nature.

  • @dtiydr They should of shot him after he didn't thank them.

  • @batmannotahero Little harsh but at least spank him bad with someones belt.

  • @dtiydr Or castrate him to ensure he doesn't pass on his ungrateful genes

  • hi

  • News woman: "... the moose waited calmly."

Rescuer: "Where's that other chainsaw?" BZZZZZ!!!

  • "While the moose waited patiently"? Yeah lady, it's called hypothermia and being STUCK IN THE ICE! What we didn't get to see was when the grateful moose ran off, he turned to look back in his in "moosey" way to say,"thank-you" and as he turned to run up the mountain, he was struck down by the Mack truck he never saw coming......

  • lol at the end it sounds like the guy says "Moo!"

    XD

  • bravo!!! is super .

  • Laugh he would have turned on one of those guys and gave them a little jab in the ass for good measure, ha ha, glad he made it out!

  • I hope that we eventually gain ground thru evolution, to the point that humans have an understanding with these bigger higher minded animals. So that they realize in situtations like theses that we want to help them lol. Although I do believe this moose knew that we were trying to help him

  • strong animal i bet he slept great that night.

  • Good job - nice that ppl are still helping our animal friends. Some of the comments by news readers are so lame tho - "the moose waited calmly" - he didn't have much choice - he was probs scared stiff.

  • can you ride on a moose?

  • @AmericanHero911 someone told me it was physicaly impossible they would need to be domesticated for many generations for that very purpose, pretty much like the primitive horses

  • lol it seemed so calm. Like it was like yeah i'm going to die what of it.

  • Put justin beiber init !

  • It's really nice to see people doing things like that.

  • I remeber this on news :')

  • That's a big ass moose!! But seriously people. Americans do this stuff all the time, with almost every animal we find that is trapped and in need of help, and we only shoot them if they are hurt and suffering. Except during hunting season of course. But quite frankly, since natural predators (such as wolves) aren't around to control the populations of big herbivores like these, they eat until there's nothing left to eat. Hunting is good. As long as it's controlled.

  • @TheRockyBach hahaha u r so silly, nature doesnt need humans at all to control any population.

  • @AngelaPlant666 No, sorry, but I'm not. If you kill off the predator population like we have (mainly wolves) you begin to see overpopulation in herbivores. Deer especially.

  • @AngelaPlant666 Rocky is right, here in Scotland, the red deer pop'n has to be controlled because we killed all the wolves 100s of yrs ago. We also chopped nearly all the forests down so with deer, sheep and (introduced) rabbits overgrazing, trees can't recolonise naturally, even where landowners would allow it. Without casting any judgement on the situation, having changed the balance in the first place,we have to manage what we have now.Like it or not,man is here.

  • @jerrygreg2 As proved by your own story, man is totally insane and can't "manage" a thing including themselves. Humankind is behaving like a virus that is destroying the earth, and like it or not humans will be here at the most 100 years before all 7 billion of them go extinct.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 A bit pessimistic I'd say.

  • JESUS!!!! this is like a breath of fresh air....glad to see that not all humans are evil.

  • @mystictouch9 You're an idiot.

  • @TheRockyBach ummmm, ok...I guess ill be an idiot, if that means being compassionate.....you need to chill ....bud

  • MOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing animal. Get me a moose in the UK :)

  • thats cool they helped him out in stead of shootin him wonder if he goes ot o the ice now?lol good save to the FD

  • Interesting the moose still has its rack. Where I live the moose shed there rack before the lakes start to freeze.

  • @incedius420 That winter was really hard and started early, which is probably why it still has its rack

  • 2 hours? O_O

damn they have some crazy insulation a human would be dead in 15min

  • See that us humans aren't that bad after all . We're just picky on who we care about.

  • YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Poor moose!!I know it had to be freezing cold in there and there.God Bless them!

  • @afterthefact15 BARREN DESSERT? YOUR THINKING OF THE BASIN WHICH IS ACTUALLY CENTRAL WA .....SPOKANE COUNTY IS MOSTLY MOUNTAINS AND PINE TREES .... I THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST CONFUSED I HATE WHEN PEOPLE SAY INCORRECT THINGS

  • Poor Mr. Moose..! Glad to see he made it out ok.

  • @RSCII He got hit by a car a couple mounths ago.

  • @silentmoviemusicfrk..HAHAHA (laughing so hard) I agree!!

  • "excuse me... isn't britney or lindsay in need of your help? Can't a moose bathe in peace... for crying out loud"

  • brrrr.... this was cold.

  • Big bastard just gets up and shakes off like he wasn't in freezing water for several hours. This kind of resilience is what we gave up when we evolved the ability to manipulate our environment to suit our needs rather than adapting to our environment like all the other animals.

  • @Snipe4261 Shed your clothes and move to a mountain forest.........good luck.

    I would rather evolve

  • @Marvcohen You misunderstand me. I like being able to manipulate my environment to suit my survival needs, but that ability means that we as humans won't evolve any further due to environmental pressures. It also means we're at far greater risk of death as individuals if we ever get isolated from our manufactured environments. Our ability to control our environment actually gives us better survival capability in the long run but everything is a tradeoff and that's what I'm remarking on.

  • @Snipe4261 As we as humans and animals evolve to survive our enviromental surroundings, our enviromental surroundings also evolve to survive what we do to it. (confused? ) It will never end.

  • @Marvcohen Yes, that fine, although I could argue that huamns are on thier way to transcending any effect our enviroment changing could have on us, it doesn't have much to do with my origional statment. My origional observation was simply that we gave up individual resiliancy that would allow us to survive like that moose in an immediate enviromental change like falling into a frozen lake and traded it for the ability to change our enviroment to suit our needs in the long term.

  • @Snipe4261 even in our finest hour, we could never survive a fall into a frozen lake................unless we could weigh over 2,000 pounds

  • yeeeaaaahhh! free the moose!

  • Sometimes I'm proud to be a human. These guys were awsome. they helped a poor animal in distress. These are real men.

  • ahahahahah at 0:25 "DAN MAKE A LOTTA NOISE WITH THE CANOE!"

  • @brickboi009 f**k YOU!

  • ONE DAY, MOOSE WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD

  • Nice video, I think I may stay the winter in Spokane, check it out. I lived in Kennewick for 6 months, nice but just a little too small for me. I live in San Diego and might move or at least split my time between here and somewhere else. Can someone clue me in on the comments I keep hearing about Spokane along the lines of "very trashy" "Spokompton" "loaded with homeless" "filled with meth-heads", is it that bad or just people exaggerating ( I honestly do not know and have not made judgements).

  • @tickyul Hey, I lived in Spokane for 11 years before moving west to Seattle. Yes spokane has its shitty areas and its umemployment is high. Drugs and crime are more common now than ever in these areas. But on the other side of things, Spokane is a nice city and has good spots too. But not good enough for me so I moved away.

  • @Sreewtyui Can a lower middle class person make the jump to a neighborhood that does not have trashy people. I live in San Diego and blue collar types are stuck living around a lot of scummy people in dirty neighborhoods. I hope this is not the case in Spokane. What do you think of the nickname Spokompton, does it fit?

  • What a sweetheart! I'm so happy he got out okay!

  • I'm from Spokane.

  • BRING BACK THE STAR RATINGS!!!

  • poor thing

  • yay how nice he was saved, thanks for saving him instead of just ignoring it

i wonder how he got stuck?

  • 1:15-1:19 The moose turned around and said thank you with a nod and a kind of lip movement.

  • the moose thank them after he go out and look to them i am sure moose understand very good

  • Happy endings! I love it!

  • THNKS FRIENDS !

  • aww he's so cut but sooo big too anyway im happy he got out and im still wondering how long he was stuck in the ice poor moose

  • Throw Sarah Palin in a frozen pond!

  • @silentmoviemusicfrk @ I have your vote for Governor!

  • @silentmoviemusicfrk Throw your ignorant backside in a frozen pond.
