  • @damedufaubourg Thank you very much Uschi! :)

  • Did you get the job? I love this song! And I always love your playing and singing. :-)

  • @ctrymaus Thank you very much! It's great to see you back here again. I'm still waiting to hear about the job. There has been a hold up and now I've been told that I won't find out till almost Christmas. Frustrating, but it will be worth it if I get it.

  • @fourteentwelve Thanks! :-) Well, let's hope you hear soon that you got it. :-)

  • Wow, I just love this, Michelle, what a wonderful original! Love your hook, "Seconds Become Minutes." How many of us haven't waited like this for a phone call? Great universal appeal here, and as always, you perform it so beautifully! I'd love to favorite this one, but Youtube's new changes have done away with my favorites, sigh. Oh well. :) Janet

  • @onewomanandsomesongs Thank you so much Janet! This means a lot coming from a great songwriter like you. I really appreciate you watching. Sorry to hear you've lost your favorites too - I seem to have lost my subscriber list in the new format. Can't find it anywhere. I hope they fix the bugs soon! Thank you so much again for such a lovely comment.

  • WHY aren't you already a pop STAR????!!!!!!!

  • @josephhoh You're way too kind Joseph! Thank you! I'm just glad I was finally able to write a song again.

  • I like it to. Hope you got the job!

  • @NetmanRobi Thank you very much Robert! I'm glad you like it. Still waiting to hear about the job....

  • this is a great catchy song Michelle! well done!

  • @russbuss415 Thank you very much Russ!! I had some fun playing around with iMovie for this one.

  • very very nice job, dear Michelle! ;°)

  • @Little6ster Thank you so much Ninie! So good to see you here. I hope everything is going well for you! :)

  • Nice job!

  • @UkesterBrown Thank you David!

  • Nicely done... all the best with the job. (did the song form apart of you application?)

  • @reyalpEleluku Thank you Michael, and thanks for the best wishes! (and no, it wasn't part of my application. Maybe it should have been - I could have given them a laugh!)

  • That was great Michelle!

I don't have much time to look at youtube these days but I'm glad I saw this in my subscriptions email and had a look.

Your playing, singing and songwriting just keep getting better.

  • @phillipsderek Thank you so much for taking the time to watch Derek! I really appreciate it. I'm glad you liked it too! It has been way too long between original songs for me so it was good to finally finish one.

  • Amazing! What kind of uke is that??

  • @TheRealMusicVideo Thank you very much! It's a Barron River ukulele for the main part of the song - made by a luthier in Cairns, Australia. I've got a link to his site in the description of the video. The uke in the solo is a Koaloha Superconcert.

  • The new uke sounds great! Cool song, cool solo!

  • @deach69 Thank you very much deach! I'm glad you liked it.

  • great song hope you get the job

  • @egyptturnip Thank you very much Joel!

  • Very creative Michelle! You have written some great lyrics and put it all together in a very nice presentation with your Ukulele playing and the video editing.

Someday I would like to write my own lyrics and put them to music. Any recommendations on how to get started?

PS, good luck on getting the job.

  • @UkuleleSongs Thank you very much David! I'm glad you liked it. As far as songwriting advice, I'm probably not a good person to ask seeing it has been a year between songs for me. The way I do it is come up with the lyrics first, then a melody seems to naturally come from the lyrics, so then I work out what chords I need for the melody I hear in my head. If you work better with the music first though, you could always play through some chord progressions and see if any lyrics come.

  • Great song, Michelle, and I love your arrangement of it! Wonderful!

If they don't hire you, it's their loss!

  • @paxukulele Thank you so much John! It was my first attempt at harmony actually... I'm glad you liked it!

  • Awesome!, love it. Nothing like adversity to bring out the creativity in us. Fingers crossed that you get the job and like it when you start.

  • @SaddleSoreSista1 Thank you SSS, for the comment and the good wishes! Yes, that's so true (about adversity bringing out creativity).

  • I'm sorry, Michelle, but you'll have to wait a bit longer. I can't afford the long-distance charges right now. On the bright side, you've had six calls already (that's more than I get in a week), and on the even brighter side, you've written a fantastic song. Well done!

  • @songblurred Thank you Don! That's exactly the way I was thinking - if I don't get the job, then at least I get a song out of it. All that waiting ended with an email that afternoon saying the decision process will take a bit longer, so still waiting…..

  • @fourteentwelve I guess you know we are all pulling for you. Best of luck.

  • @songblurred Thank you very much Don!

  • So cool !!!!! 8-}

  • @JChoneybell Thank you JC!!

  • Very nice original, and very well performed!

  • @pfrogner Thank you very much Rick!

  • Wow - that was awesome. Well done on a great song. And SO true ha ha. Brava :)

  • @Sheepstar15 Thank you very much Anna! It was just a fun one.... I'm glad it broke the writing drought though! It has been too long since I've actually finished a song.

  • Brilliant Song, Michelle!

  • @floydbluethereal Thank you so much Ralf. I'm really glad you liked it.

  • Another good tune! Thanks again for sharing.

  • @n8xu Thank you very much Jack, and thanks for watching!

  • Great song Michelle

  • @krabberscovers Thank you very much Krabbers!

  • Oh, it's in my head and won't go away. Awesomely catchy, Michelle. I love the soundholes on that BR uke.

  • @UKISOCIETY I apologise for that Alan! Have to admit though, I'm also kind of glad it's stuck in your head :) Those soundholes are great, aren't they? It's very loud too, for such small soundholes.

  • Very, very catchy, Michelle.

  • @KenMiddletonUkulele Thank you Ken!

  • I like it. :-)

  • @AcousticMonster Thank you Danny!

  • It is a really cute song! I like it ! The uke is very clean sounding. I have visited their web site before.

  • @waterdog226 Thank you Lynda! I'm glad you liked it. And yes, Alan from Barron River Guitars and Ukuleles makes really great ukes. This was a trial one he made to test some bracing. I love the sound of it.
