most pens fans (myself included) have ceded to the fact that the better team won. your team defense on both ends of the ice was smothering and just flawless. looking back, i think it was game 4 that doomed us. botched pp's and a soft goal put the nail in the coffin. had we went back to detroit tied 2-2 it would have been interesting. my hats off to the red wings, especially after we took a sizeable chunk of momentum after game 5, you still managed to weather the storm like great teams do

It was a great playoff and an even better final...the best post lockout for sure. I'm so proud of the boys winning it all, they earned every bit of it...that's why I've always been and forever will be a Red Wings fan, were a franchise that knows how to win.
