  • @onikage2099 Yea SOTN did suffer from lack of difficulty. They spoiled the player with too many weapons and power ups so the bosses hardly had enough life to stand a chance against you. Circle of the Moon on the other hand went too far the other way by not even giving the player a store to buy from. To me... Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Harmony of Dissonance are the most balanced metrovanias in terms of difficulty. They're not too hard, but also not too easy.

  • Castlevania Lament of Innocence wasn't the first 3d, the first two where on N64 then one for Dreamcast called Castlevania Resurrection but didn't release, sucks it didn't because that one might have blown all these new ones out.

  • They need to make a castlevania for psp (and not some cheap remake)

  • i so agree with that

  • I'm sooooo going to to enjoy this game now that the new lead character has a hot, sexy back!

    I LOVE YOU SHANOA!!!

  • WE LOVE SHANOA!

  • You have no idea how much i respect this dude.

  • Hey now, I thought that Curse of Darkness was one only a castlevania freak would like, but Lament of Innocence was amazing Id say he was very successful with that around where I live its one of the most sought after PS2 titles (granted probably because more of lack of supply than increase in demand)

  • what months fall?

  • September, October, and November.

  • lol I actually liked the 3D castlevania's, even the 64 ones....(except the Arena or wtv when i had to grap stupid ledges and he would never grap on..). But I would say there improving in 3d, and i still play them time and time again

  • dude don't fuckin give up, make another 3d castlevania for the ps3 that'd be tight, Castlevania games are the best games ever, don't listen to those fools

  • I agree, Castlevania games in 3D were not excellent, but not bad as well. I'm sure the next Castlevania in 3D will be great, and it will probably be in Wii I'm afraid

  • yeah, well Castlevania lamment of innocense and curse of darkness were not bad at all, the only thing i hated was to fucking run around the leves for hours to get to where i needed to be.

  • you got that right, the game seemed so large and the character too slow. Now, Castlevania Wii will be released end of this year and it will be .... a fighting game .... oh well, we'll see if it's worth it

  • Am I the only one who thought CoD was a good game?

  • No, u r not the only one xD, me too, i think was a good game, no excelent, but good game, i like it =P.

  • why all the sexism? a female character is a nice change, besides all the males in these games look like women anyway!! Carrie Fernandez, Maria, Chatlotte and Sonia were all awesome characters

  • castlevania simphony of the night woot the best castlevania ever!

  • A new female main character

    Fuck yes=D <3

  • WTF IGA allow a FEMALE lead?

  • Yup, and thats cool =D, its like Sonia Belmont in a DS, but.. well Shanoa isnt a Belmont D:, but is very cool =D

  • Well yeah except sonia was removed from official continuity and she's not longer exist (as a belmont)

  • yah, sadly D:

  • I think the same, pathetic decission, a female character will ruin the franchise, like Sonia in CVL, and Charlotte in POR, the 2 worst games in the series. This will b horrible I know it.

  • Well... that's your opinion, becuase I think is cool have like protagonist a woman in the series of a lot of videogames, where the main character is a male, and is time to have a woman in castlevania series(again) and for nothing, is gona be a good game ^^ im sure of that(but well.. again that's my opinion and also lot of ppl think the same)

  • yeah, I disagree, but still respect ur opinion

  • I agree with ganondorf59

This game is gonna suck hard because they allow a female lead ¬¬

  • that's right.

  • Great games like Metroid have the main character as a female, I don't see the reason why a female would ruin the game, thats just sexist.

  • I dont think PoR was a bad, game, if you say PoR was a bad game for Charlotte, i will think you are sexist, anyway, Castlevania is Castlevania, there is not bad history in those games, just the gameplay or conversation can affect those result of: ''i dont like this game by that''; me and million of people think Shanoa is a good character, the history is pretty cool, let her a chance...

  • Portrait of ruin was amazing game idiot!

  • good for you and the latin nintendo magazine. it's still an opinion.

  • I know it is but it's still sustained by arguments and facts!

  • Well, I really liked this game, more than Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, I know SotN was a good game, but talking of CV DS, for ME OoE was a epic win.

The only bad point was the history, but just that. By the way, the gameplay was so good for me. And the music, ahhh... pure castlevania style.

  • I believe ur first language may be spanish like mine os I'll reply in spanish:

  • "Nintendo Magazine Latin America" ROFL Also Nintendo Magazine Cuba said it also sucks. Check some real critics like ign, gamespot

  • lol, how pathetic, replying to a 1 year old comment.

U must be a blind imbecile if u can't see the fact that this game sux big time, IT'S BORING. And actually, it's the worst CV of them all!!

  • How pathetic replying to a reply of a year old comment. Does it really matter if it's old? It's not less stupid. And yeah I'm blind, have a wooden leg and no life , how did you know?

  • U just said it urself. And well, the stupid fanboy and less than 10 year old would surely like this, anybody who grew up with the NES sure would tell u u're fucking crazy.

  • how dare you it's ace just like the others!

  • song as background?

  • That's Castlevania IV's version of "Beginning", mate. It's a theme that pops up in loads of Castlevanias. :)

  • thanks

  • First song is "Beginning" from Castlevania IV

Second song is "The Silence of the Daylight" from Castlevania II

Thrid and final song is "Bloody Tears" also from Castlevania II

  • Personally, I'd love to see Castlevania on the Wii. What a lot of third party publishers aren't getting is that you don't HAVE to have motion controls in a Wii game. I'd be just as happy playing using the classic controller or the gamecube controller than the wiimote for some games. If Castlevani used minimal or no motion controls, it would probably be sweet on the wii.

  • Well, just because a game on the wii, doesnt mean you have to whip all the time, like super paper mario, it doesnt use the motion sensor all the time, just rarely... It could have symbols you trace with the remote, like in DoS.

  • yep he's very intelligent to avoid the Wii! a Castlevania game would get tiring using the wiimote. it's almost as bad a controller design like the stylus. does Nintendo want people to play games for less periods of time?! working out while playing videogames is a serious design flaw.

  • Well that's the body resistance of each person, like me, i like play games like DDR o lots of Wii games without get tired(well, obviously if I play like 8 hours without rest i get tired).

However, in my poscision i can say... i want a Castlevania for Wii! =). I imaginated me hit things with a Vampire Killer xD. Its the body of each person D:

Srry my english isn't not good at all >.>

  • I also want a castlevania for the wii! I remember when I was in 5th grade and i was currently playing castlevania for the nes and after i played the game i made my own whip and kept on whipping on banana trees. if there would be a castlevania for the wii and the wii mote as the whip maybe my dream would come true whipping on monsters.
