Oh I almost forgot about this song. (I find it 2 days late-_-). Anyways MLK jr was a great and very brave man-some of our lives would've definately been diffrent if it weren't for him. I don't think I can thank him enough.
Also my Dad and mother (they wasn't together(-they were too young) but they were classmates) saw and listened to him in person when he came to the city they grew up at. My grandaunt(my mother's aunt was there too). They were brave as well.
THE SINGLE-MOST GREATEST SPEECH IN AMERICAN HISTORY. And I've studied hundreds of them. This speech stands heads-and-tails above all in its power, meaning, prophetic wisdom, and fearlessness. MLK Jr. today is too often characterized as a black leader for black people. BULL%$#@&!!! MLK Jr. was a leader for all Americans, of all races, of freedom and justice and righteousness. Yes, he had martial infidelities. Yes, he loved his mistresses, etc. No matter to me. His importance trumps that.
Exellent tribute to the man who really made a difference to eveyone. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. LaVinnia, well pulled off. He did indeed fuffilled that dream.
Tomorrow is the birthday of a great American who gave his life so that others may have better opportunities in theirs. We show honor and tribute to Dr. Martin Martin Luther King Jr, my hero. Happy Birthday Dr. King!
Jah guide us coming in and protect i going out. the oppressor is suffering and the shit-sitem (capitalism) that is going down - european debt crsis, the war has cost US billions - but the people go on suffering. god bless Martin luther king and others for fighting for justice for all mankind. until the man's skin of no significance than the colour of his eyes there will always be war.
This is a totaly amazing remix Lavinnia, i too share share the dream that all men and women, no matter what their creed should be considered equal.... after all we share the same blood.
Let me just say that I am thankful that the niggers made this a holiday where we Whites can get the day off in the urban areas, where we Whites can at least spend that day away from the niggers and liberals who want to glorify this dope smoking commie woman beater.
MLK was a communist as well as a whore! He must also be a hypocrite since he deems himself a "man of God"!
@cavalucho You know what's a real tragedy in this world, having to live in it with people like you who relish in ignorance, hatred and just plain stupidity, while making accusations that you can no more prove than Hoover could when he originally made them. May God have mercy on your hateful, ignorant soul.
Martin shared a common dream, he was a very brave and humble man. He fought people's rights even to the death and left his mark on the word for years to come. His dream will always keep succeeding. I mean we now currently have the first African American president in the 200+ years of American history they would never think this would happen, If it wasn't for Martin African Americans would probably still be hated today. Matin Luther King will never be forgotten
LAVINNIA you got skills this is perfect and the remix is even better. This work of arts should be in schools......We'll make the dream become reallity, I know we will,,, 'cause our hearts told us so, beautifully written stevie terrific and you ain't bad either....one love
@fairfax17 Don't you worry, this exact video was shown in my Modern History class. Awesome work, LaVinna, and great use of relevant Martin Luther King footage and samples, it makes a meaningful song that much more meaningful. Martin was an incredible man who showed the hatred and ignorance of racism through his own love and acceptance of all people, and deserves to be remembered like this.

yes and Stevie was a part of the Civil Rights Movement. During this weekend and Friday I was listening to the DJ's making sure that they had wished Dr. King Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!
it is obvious that you woke up this morning, slipped on your skid marked underwear, fell on the floor and knocked your head on something hard, because a normal person couldn't possibly say this sort of rubbish.
Yeah, Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King said 40 years ago that a Black man will take the office of the President in 25 years. He was off by about 15 years, but he was thinking and dreaming well ahead of his time. That time has come and it was truly "more than a historical day". I'm a proud American when I say I use the doctrines of King, Gandhi and the last Hawaiian Queen, Liliuokalani, in my work as a peacemaker. Barack Obama is a Hawai'i boy--we are proud that he's realizing Dr. King's dream!
Aloha--You'll probably enjoy this YouTube vid, too: "Pride - U2 - Martin Luther King"...The other day I was discussing social malevolence with a Hawaiian "Dr. Rev." man. I told him we "...just gotta do it with 'the power of pule' (prayer), forgiveness, love and peace, that I cannot help to think 'evil will prevail if good men do nothing' and we have to fearlessly fight for peace even in the face of mortal danger, like Dr. Rev. If i told you that, it's just for fun, actually Obama make history, but we willl see, we never know....
(Stevie Wonder--one of the main forces in the campaign to have Dr. King's b-ay become a national holiday--wrote "Happy Birthday" in 1981 for the cause and continued his fight for the holiday, holding the 'Rally for Peace' in 1981. In 11/1/83 a bill was signed, and first official MLK Day was held on 1/20/86. It was commemorated w/a large-scale concert with Stevie Wonder as the headliner.*)

Such an inspiring man. As a white man, I find king's dream to be endlessly uplifting. He is a true patriot, and a man that makes me proud to live in the USA. Regardless of stature, race, gender, or sexual orientation, MLK saw unity where others saw division. He is a man that should remain at the forefront of our nation for years to come.

CCCN, I believe there are more of us (of all races) who want peace, than there are of those who want hate, but hate gets more publicity. We have to keep going, and not be dismayed.

CCCN, I believe there are more of us (of all races) who want peace, than there are of those who want hate, but hate gets more publicity. We have to keep going, and not be dismayed.

His meaning was that racisme and to do it ,all people can have in their hearts.
