no it's not...Climax locos are made that way...it turns backwards when going forward because it drives gears and other things but i assure you that is the way they go

The System is set on 6 chuffs per revoultion when it should be 4. Plus toytrains1 is running the engine very slowly so we can watch the engine stride by.

That is a beautiful engine. I also love the real life Hillcrest #10 regardless of her mechanical break downs she has. That model really captures to the true feeling of Hillcrest #10. I might buy one.

Sorry, this is incorrect. Class B and C Climaxes crankshafts sipn the same direction as the wheels. Check YouTube video of the prototype Hillcrest #10
