  • At my middle school we have Truealerts and 40-- ----'s somethings and it is in code three and ours when the fire alarm first starts it either does that 4 or 5 beeps before going into code 3 or you will be able to hear the alarms on the other side of the school first.

  • what Is The Air Lock, And Carpeted Stairways? Nice, My School Stairways Are Ugly, was That A Mountain Dew Vending Machine?

  • @TheLilRubix1 Actually, that fending machine only sold Aqufinia. They weren't allowed to sell sodas, so I guess they just decided to sell water and advertise Mountain Dew.

  • holy SH**

  • It's cool i like flashing lights, they should do is have a fire drill club.

  • I'll try it.

  • My school's fire alarm is so much more chill. But since the school just got remodeled we have these awesome lights. And when we have a lockdown my principal pushes a button and all the blinds go down and all the doors are locked.

  • hey that ismy schools fire alarm to!

  • Jjinc you were brave and you shouuld be proud of it

  • So... are you somewhat scared of fire drills? Don't get me wrong, I've got a huge phobia of them (not alarms, I LOVE the alarms), sitting in class, knowing that it could go off any second just bugs the hell outta me, hehe. That's why I'm trying to figure out what the alarm will sound like, so I have an Idea what I'm in for. It's quite Ironic that I'd love to work for simplex one day...

  • @Nifferdawn1 Yup, that's me exactly.

  • @Nifferdawn1 me too lol

  • @Nifferdawn1 ha ha same here!

  • @Nifferdawn1 Oh wow! I am the same way too! Here is something cool: One day, (I'm am NOT JOKING ABOUT THIS) I literally have done this now 5 times, where one random day, I had said I bet we are going to have a fire drill. (I don't know when) The 7 times I have said that, it has gone off 5 OUT OF THE 7 TIMES I HAVE SAID IT! If freaks me out SO badly, especially when it does go off. I promise its true! (I would say swear, but I am not allowed as of my parents!) My friends think I'm physic! LOL :D

  • @clarkloveselevators Sorry for the late reply lol

But yeah, I'm the same way with being able to predict them! It's funny cause my friend is the guy that can always predict when something dumb and/or funny will happen that day and I'm known as the guy who could tell you whether or not we were going to have a fire drill that day hahaha

  • @Nifferdawn1 i remember fire drills at my middle school and they were in continuous and they were the most annoying.

  • why did it do the "Pulse" before coming into code 3?

  • @KetchupAndMustard55 There are different theories listed elsewhere in the comments.

  • FOLLOW THE RULES!

  • @MrDeerEyes You're kinda getting on my nerves, so I have no choice to block you. Sorry.

  • my school has truealerts that go through a two stage evacuation sequence

  • @simplex9838man Meaning what, exactly?

  • @jjinc24 the first few minutes the horn pulses every three seconds then it changes to temporal 3

  • @simplex9838man That's pretty cool.

  • @jjinc24 i think u can only access that feature on an addressable panel...like the fire lite ms-9050ud, the ms-9200, ms-9200ud, ms-9200udls, and the ms-9600udls........im trying to get an ms-9050ud

  • my school has them in code 3 to?.!

  • If we broke the rules, we got in trouble. They were very strict. When our alarm sounded (groups of 5 short rings on the bells), we knew they meant business.

  • @themightyjaybird I see...

  • No talking; leave the building in single file lines; classes stay together so teachers can make sure everyone got out; maintain silence until after all-clear bell rings and everyone is back in the building.

  • @themightyjaybird Yeah. Nobody at my school cares about those rules (except for the listening for the all-clear on cold days).

  • WAY TOO MUCH TALKING GOING ON.. THERE IS NOOO TALKING DURING A FIRE DRILLL!

  • @MrDeerEyes Okay, okay, I get it. Everybody in my school is going to burn to a crisp of there is a real fire just because we talk. But seriously, I don't even think that that's a rule at MY school.

  • @MrDeerEyes shut up and mind your own bussiness

  • no talking during a fire drill!!!!

  • @MrDeerEyes Eh.

  • strange that the panel is a 4100u and the system isn't voice evac I thought the 4100u only had voice evac.

  • @Gb755c No, it can be either or, if I'm not mistaken.

  • My high school had TrueAlerts in continuous that drove me crazy

  • I didn't know a 4100U could run horns.

  • Why didn't u pull the alarm instead. Today a little kid pulled the alarm falsely and his mom was mad! Also, the true alerts in my school do the same thing when they go off before code 3

  • @sawman3333 I don't know wh7 he alarm wasn't pulled. And that's interesting that your school's system does the same thing too.

  • @jjinc24 zone indicator most likely. Some fire alarms will buzz a number of times to indicate what zone triggered them. Zone 9 may be the main office or wherever the people in charge of conducting fire drills pull them

  • @sawman3333 Sometimes there are glass break rods in the pull stations and they don't want to break them unless it is a real fire. The key activates the same switch that pulling the handle would've so it a way he still actually pulled it.

  • Why do they buzz 9 times before going into code-3?

  • @msj191961 Read the other comments.

  • Do you know the exact models of the TrueAlerts?

  • @msj191961 No, sorry. There are so many models of True Alerts, it would be so hard to pinpoint which ones there are.

  • Why are people on the internet so goddamned insecure? Who cares if people leave rude remarks?

  • @fuzzywindjammer Because I don't like to promote that type of behavior on my videos.

  • Comment removed

  • The horns would sound a little better in sync.

  • @TssCman123 They're a little un-synched at first, but then they become synched.

  • the ones at my school run off a new 4020 panel

  • fire alarms are serial killers

  • @devondobby677890 Maybe to one's ears...but they have saved many lives of people, animals, and buildings.

  • awesome video the horn/strobes at my high school are truealerts and they do that code

  • @simplextech9 Do you know what type of panel they run off of?

  • @jjinc24 normally they can run off a 4008 or a 4010 because the ones at my school run off a 4008

  • @simplextech9 Cool.

  • @jjinc24 yeah i like the newer systems

  • @simplextech9 wow cuz mine run off a 4005

  • @Firelitestar5210 well the system at my school was updated

  • @simplextech9 oh kul. i just love simplex. its kul how everything runs and just the styles and sounds. but anyways it was ran off a earlier version panel?

  • @Firelitestar5210 yep you bet

  • I laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaooooooooooooooove true alerts

  • Why did you guys pull the alarm when you could have used the drill button?

  • @YankeePat94 I honestly have no clue.

  • @YankeePat94 1 a lot of simplex panels require you to get into either level 3 or level 4 access to do a drill which takes a while. and 2 the school probably notified the FD and the Simplex that they were doing the drill and they have to test the dialer to make sure the Simplex receives the signal.

  • @Gb755c Yes, the janitor does call the Simplex monitoring station before conducting a drill.

  • liyer

  • Why would you say that?

  • @lilt580 don't know i forgot

  • @lilt580 OK Then...

  • Why did the fire alarms to two diffent codings? Pulse and Code 3?

  • When?

  • @jjinc24 in the beginning of the video.

  • It only sounded like it did; the horn above the pull station went off after every other horn.

  • A school is boring if it just has one horn.

  • @Goldenrod636 THERSE MORE

  • HEY ARN'T YOU NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK DURING FIRE DRILLS??????? IN THIS VIDEO I SAW YOU TALKING IN THE DRILL!!!! NEXT TIME YOU HAVE A FIRE DRILL, YOU NEED TO HAVE VOICE LEVEL 0!!!!!!!

  • awesome video

  • I have no fire alarms jjinc24, Please bring me some fire alarms

  • @nemosays Just go to ebay. They have them there.

  • i saw that happen today at school

  • We have truealerts in my school and they are the most annoying noisemakers known to man when set to continuous.

  • @chicagolandhobby SAME!!

  • I am going to have to hear this sometime soon.

  • What? The fire alarm?

  • Yes, this is my school's system, but my school has a 1010 panel. Im not sure if thats correct, but my bulb's gone out again so I have no clue LOL.

  • she does not know anything about fire alarms

  • Who?

Oh-and and my school doesnt have an MT.

  • you

  • What the hell. Im a boy, why does everybody always call me a girl!?

  • preston, stop being a dick to new fire alarm people =/

  • 4010

  • Why were you there when he set off the alarm?

  • Why the hell not?

  • I love truealerts =]

  • why did it not do code three right away ?

  • Some weird thing that addressable truealerts do.

  • Was that hoocked up to a Simplex 4010 Control Panel? And What kind of pull station?

  • This is actually hooked up to a 4100U and the pull is a 4099-9003

  • Oh ok

  • Don't you also have a weatherproof Wheelock MT and TrueAlerts with protective covers outside, because I don't hear them? Also, the two strobes you mentioned that they are mounted on the ceiling are also actually TrueAlert models.

  • Yes, outside we have a MT and TrueAlerts outside, but the there is only one MT, and it's on the other side of the building, and I guess the TrueAlerts just blended into the fire drill din.

  • I wonder if the MT is on a separate NAC?

  • Most likely because these appear to be addressable truealerts and the NAC they're on wouldn't work too well with the MT....

  • what was in the small gym?

  • An old pull station and alarm from the previous system.

  • wheelocks are the best

  • truealerts in code 3, nice

  • I rated 2.0 by accident =(

  • simplex true alert

  • What panel does your school have? From the annunciator, it seems like a 4100U, 4020, or 4100 classic.

  • 4100U

  • Comment removed

  • why lol

  • So you don't go deaf upon activation.

  • Cool

  • I actually LIED! I don't know why it did that.

  • lol wow...you had me fooled there.

  • Yeah lol.

But I am NOT lying when I say that I have a solution for your 4004. Send me an AIM or YouTube message.

  • Set to Temporal.

  • @coffeeandsugar20 my middle school had a 4020 system

  • fire alarms bother me a lot totally. every time the fire alarm starts i jump right out of my seat.

  • Comment removed

  • They're not supposed to bring a smile to your face.

  • Please do not say the name of the school.

  • when it beeps 9 time is that zone 9 or somthing?

  • I don't think so. If you noticed, the alarm above the pull station started later than the other alarms, so I think that that alarm, and the other alarms you herd at first are on different NACs and/or SmartSync circuits. This month I watched them set it off again, and I'm pretty sure it didn't bee nine times in a row at first. There's another fire drill coming up soon and I'll check.

  • oh its that alarm thats got me thinking that it beeped 9 times hey tell me when you doing the next fire drill plz

  • Also, if it were to beep nine times in a row for zone nine, that would be for a walk test, and this was a drill, not a walk test. I

  • Actually, I'm pretty sure Simplex panels have a coding option called simple coding where it pulses the NAC once for zone 1, twice for zone 2, and so on.

  • Would simple coding be used for walk tests? Because my 4004 doesn't have that as one of my coding options, but it does have walk test, but I can't try it out because I can't power the panel...

  • No, I think simpe coding is an actual coding option for when an alarm comes in from the IDCs. There might be an option to have a similar thing happen in walk tests, but i'm positive that it's a signal code on some simplex panels.

  • I see...

  • Its just all the sounder circuits (or NACs) are synchronising themselves with the smartsync modules. Its a little like UK systems, sounders that are on different loops dont synchronise very well.

  • hehe. i like the Annotation Editor. nice video

  • 0:14 LOL

  • im suprised you guys dont get in troubele for pulling a false alarm

  • This was for a planned fire drill.

  • You can see the plates from where the old alarms were

  • I know, the old system had some sort of gamewell pull station and wheelock horns (7002?) with strobe plates.

  • Ah. I know there's a daycare center near the bus terminal in my town, and they have Simplex TrueAlerts there too. I can tell that the alarms used to be 4051+4050-80s and a few 2903s judging by the mounting plates the TrueAlerts are on. The pulls are mostly Simplex 4251-30s, but I saw a few 4251-20s as well. I think the panel is a Simplex 4005.

  • The old alarms have Gamewell Pulls & Simplex 2901-9833 on the Simplex 2903 light plate.

  • Those were the original alarms at that school before the TrueAlerts were installed?

  • I guess. All of them are removed except one in the small gym for some reason...

  • @3dkidsartfairs my high school had 9833s but they have truealerts now

  • Why did the truealert above the pull activate after the other ones?

  • I don't know for sure, but my guess is that it is on a different NAC then the one around that. I also think that because outside you can see the second floor strobes flash in sync and then the first floor strobes flash in sync. So, whit I think is that the three different parts of the school are on different NACs and/or different smartsync cubes.

  • It seems like after the first few rounds of code-3 both NACs finally synced up.

  • Yeah, the horns were synced, but as I mentioned before, the strobes on EACH FLOOR were synced. NOT ALL STROBES WERE SYNCED.

  • COOL!

  • Thanks!

  • i liked how the annunciator started before the alarm

  • Me too, I've been there when they set it off twice (in fact, I set it off for the last fire drill) and I've never noticed the annunciator beeping before the alarm started 'till I watched this video for like the fifth time.

  • cool

  • Thanks!

  • is this a elementary school or middle school

  • Middle

  • Cool! Did the TrueAlert right at the beginning have a delayed start?

  • yeah

  • It probably did that because I'm pretty sure that all the alarms on the first floor are on one NAC, the ones on the second/"Main" floor (one I was on) is on one NAC, and the one in the addition is on another NAC.
