Rode this yesterday at the NC state fair! Holy shit, the guys behind me and this other kid were liek twice our weight so we went upside down nearly every turn. xD
I'm not sure what you mean by the ride being a rip off. The only thing I didn't like was the waiting that I had to do halfway through the ride so the car at the opposite end could load up with 1 or 2 people. When my daughter started to record the ride it was already halfway done. The waiting for it to begin again when they were loading. Other then that it was awesome.

Just rode this in NC, cost me $8 and an hour wait...well worth it!!!
