@chinyanyie if your careful it shouldnt. if after the speaker blows the coil shorts and you leave the amp on for an extended period of time it can damage it. But aslong as you power down the amp, disconnect the speaker as soon as you blow it, it wont break your amp

It seems most factory speakers produce a LOT more bass then any aftermarket speakers. The only thing that seems to blow stock speakers is too much wattage. They usually only handle 5-30w.
