Seems like we have a lot of romantics here, and that's great, but I'd suggest the finale of Mozart's Jupiter symphony, when he combines all the themes into a fugue.
Hi, for some reason my first post did not take, so here goes again: Here are some other choices you might consider: Mendelssohn No. 5 Mahler No. 2 Sibelius Nos. 2, 5, and 7 Bruckner Nos. 5 and 6 Tchaikovsky Nos. 3 and 5 Glazounov No. 7 Rachmaninov No. 2 Saint-Saens No. 3 (Organ) Dvorak No. 7 This is a great idea! Nice to such a topic being kicked around. Our individual opinions may differ, but that's exactly the point - one's opinion is just as good as someone else's.
Cool! Good to see people catching onto the idea. If/when I make another volume, I'll try to focus on stuff that hasn't been mentioned yet (so no repeats).

Tchaikovsky is very epic in his own way! I do think all of his symphonies are epic!

I really love Bruckner's Symphonies, the finale of his 4th is simply awesome, you can not explain it with words, you need to feel it.
Add the finale of Bruckner's 5th Symphony is magnificent too!
PD: Sorry for my english!

And to add on to my previous comment, the end of his no. 2 in F Major is a great epic ending. :)

This is a great list indeed. I'd recommend listening to the symphonies of Kurt Atterberg; the first (in B minor) is fairly epic. :)

Well done!
In my opinion, the finale of Symphony №8 by Anton Bruckner should also be included - it is at least as "epic" as the one of the 4th symphony.

@efmusic5 Hi, here are some ideas of my own, pieces that were not included:
Shostakovich No. 5
Sibelius No. 5
Rachmaninov No. 2
Mendelssohn No. 5
Dvorak No. 7
Mahler No. 2 (how could you forget that one)
Bruckner No. 5
Does anyone have any other ideas? This is great; we have a nice topic kicking around.
Some may disagree with individual choices, but that is the whole point of this.
