  • Eric Clapton

  • fucking oath clappas still got it

  • Jerry Garcia loves the solo at 4:18

  • No wah wah, no party! :)

  • LOVE THE GUITAR SOLO!!!

  • Jack's voice sounds much stronger today than on these gigs, which were weakened due to his transplant.

  • The real-time pitch-correction/auto-tuning is really killing it for me...

  • @richeethree I have audience recordings from all four 2005 gigs at the RAH. None of the songs are edited or manipulated for the official release. Can they actually pitch correct on the fly in a live setting?

  • THE TONE!

    OH MY GOD!

  • Clapton sounds great, but the years haven't been kind to Bruce's voice...

  • @MydirtyRat1 This is true. Both were heavily into dope at one time but on top of that Bruce drank a lot and wrecked his liver. He got cancer and had a transplant in 2003. Everyone is different, but ageing, illness and hard living have a way of damaging some people's voices.

  • The Bass line can be down loaded at Musicnotes . Not a great challenge for any Bass player .

  • It's a shame they don't get together more often.

  • almost at 1,000,000!! xD

  • 4:35

    Sounds awesome!!

  • just started listening to Cream, yes I know, but, the more I listen to them the more blown away I am by them, I mean at this concert, they were as good as they were 35 years ago....so much music from 3 guys.

  • Wow, Jack did NOT age well.

  • @Evan42881 hes had organ transplants...near death several times

  • @atombomb31458 Wow, poor guy :(

  • Ginger is a fucking god ,jack no words needed and well ...sir eric clapton

  • Those 60+ year old men still got it

  • Nostalga. Baby Boomers rule.

  • Wow! Insale good solo by Clapton!

  • Jake Bruce is one smooth operator. I love that silky voice of his.

  • 4:18 from left to right it's Harold Ramis, Helena Bonham Carter & Tim Burton!

  • di gamle drenge kan endnu

  • amazing solo

  • amazing

  • White Room is an all-time favorite of mine...

    Those 53 who voted negative:

    are they deaf or something???

  • White Room is an all-time of mine...

    Those 53 who voted negative:

    are they deaf or something???

  • Ginger didnt miss a beat...AWESOME

  • "You cant play in Cream with a stratocaster Eric, it´s just wrong"

Then Eric plays this solo and everybody whining shuts up.

  • I remember growing up as a guitar player, not really focusing on bass guitar, hearing good bass players talk about their influences. Two that were so often mentioned and yet not known by me were Jack Bruce and Felix Pappalardi. As I started learning the bass in the 90's, I realized why they were influences considering the times they were in. Much more experienced bass players would talk and still do about how those guys did things that just really had not been done before.

  • Boycott superheavy for messing up youtube

  • the young Jack Bruce had better voice than the young Eric Clapton, but now... omg Clapton kick Bruces ass:D

  • You're right...that solo kills...thanks for posting..

  • i cpould stay listening to bruce play the bass all day long.......

  • There's no combination that will ever beat these three. Even now you can see the intensity they feel playing it together, especially Jack and Ginger.

  • he didnt bring out the wah. bass is insane and makes up for it tho.

  • The geriatrics teachin' the youngsters of the world how it's done.

  • long live cream

    :D

  • long live cream

  • clapton should have played a gibson!

  • @SaggyNativePenis fender

  • @jamaot NA MAN

  • Unfrikinbelievable!!!

Ginger can still pound those drums and show why he was the greatest R&R drummer ever! Absolutely beautiful.

  • however owns the gibson shouldve loaned it back to clapton for this show

  • @TheOldcountryboy EC wrote in his Autobiog that he used the Gibson for the 1st rehearsals, but preferred the Strat sound.

  • If Cream toured the World next week, it would sell out, we live in hope !!

  • 5:27 - 5.28 ... Ginger's Face

  • Demons!!! No true this....exorcize them....classic more classic..terrifying sweet

  • LOVE CREAM but Eric Clapton is over rated!!

  • I am 57 and have played all their songs throughout my life and still do . I also picked out each and every song on my own and they are all correct!! Makes me proud of my ability and my ear LOL

  • Is really somethin' horrible Todd Rundgren had sold the SG Fool. That guitar is the real first monument in the Rock-Blues History, even more than Hendrix's white strat !! Clapton should have kicked Rundgren in the ass, and using the Fool for this epic night !!

  • what's with all the close ups of semi-intense looking girls who would't know White Room if you killed them in one?? Fuck them.

  • so thats whos singing on the studio version! I thought it sounded unlike clapton...

  • bass is awesome

  • what can you say. i saw cream in 1968 at the boston gliderdrome ,lincolnshire, along with jimi hendrix, and otis reading, fucking mind boggling when you think of it . it cost £2 in todays terms about £150 what a bargain !!

  • just spotted helena bohnam carter and tim burtonn in the audience at 4:19! cool!

  • @thetallguyo9 hey the bass riffs pretty slick too!

  • That solo certainly is amazing. Eric seems be stretching out a bit on this gig - and not playing safe - which is good. Its a shame Jack upset Ginger (again) by turning up his amp and ruling out any more Cream reunions.

  • the lick at 4.38

    probably the best

  • I've been seeing bands since 68, and the Thursday night at the Albert Hall was the best thing I've seen and heard in my life. Definitely the best £125 I've ever spent, and makes up for the 37 year wait, coz I couldn't get near a ticket for the farewell concert. I don't give a monkeys whether Clapton's playing a Gibbo or Fender; they've moved on as musicians over the years, and if that's the instrument he's happy with, that's OK by me. I'm off to play this on my guitar now (a Godin, not a Gibson

  • I would watch this classic piece of rock history just to see Ginger Baker's smile at the end. It says it all.

  • Is this on a dvd or something? Because I love this!

  • yeah

  • the bass line in this song is amazing, and Clapton's solo is incredible

  • Awesome solo :)

  • CLAPTON IS GOD!

  • this song rapes booty holes

  • what is using to get that amazing OD fuzz sound? gahhh

  • Different kind of power chord hard to explain.

  • he doesnt use a different power chord to get that great overdrive. its his built in mid boost which gives him a 25db boost.

  • lol, lynard Skynard totally ripped off this song xD

  • which one?

  • Bass sounds great

  • Great song, great band, great vocals :-)

  • just watched erics solo... i jizzed

  • I'm really impressed with how when eric solos, it doesn't feel like the song looses it's balls, that's tough to do without a second guitarist

  • thats why they have jack bruce on bass. PLus, a shit tone of distortion, lol.

  • Not in this case, but alot of trios, including would use the big marshall amplifiers to make up the lack of music with lots of volume.

  • awesome

  • Yes (Seydagorg) That is the problem, he was using a Fender Stratocaster. I think that for old time's sake he should have used a Gibson SG. The band's sound would then have been THE typical Cream sound we all loved so much. But any way 'Clappo' most probably has an arrangement with Fender.

  • Fender makes a Clapton signature Strat, but no, Clapton is not obligated to use Fenders exclusively. He still plays Gibsons (ES-335's and Les Pauls) from time to time. In fact, in the past decade Gibson has produced replicas of his Explorer and red ES-335. I haven't heard of him using an SG since 1968.

  • Loving Gingers....uhh rivets!

  • It isn't 'White Room' with no Wah-Wah Pedal, Eric!

  • Fuckin aces baby !

  • It was great to see Cream together again, but I have just one complaint. Even before the concerts were due to take place I was wondering whether Clapton was going to use a gibson SG. Interpretation aside, I feel that this particular guitar was the mainstay of the 'Cream Sound'. Anyway we were indeed lucky and glad to see them once again. A brand new album would go down a storm.

  • Umm... he definitely was using a Fender Stratocaster so I don't have a clue what you're talking about..

  • Just Magic..seeing them together...

    Great moment in history!!

  • Wish i could have seen The Three of them ..Freaking awesome....haven't seen Jack Bruce or Ginger for ages..They sound Brill..!!!

  • These Old Men perform better Live than any act today. Fucking Love it!!

  • what a beast

  • Clapton is God, Rock On!!

  • Ginger Baker is still rockin those drums hard.

  • Does anyone else think that Jack Bruce sounds like Charlton Heston in this version?

  • i am so glad they did it one more time!!!!

  • Clapton needs the Gibson for Cream!

  • Yea the fool guitar would be best.

  • Clapton uses strat more, and its worked out well for him...

i <3 my strat, ive played gibson they are ok i guess

  • is this guitar the blackie?

  • Not THE Blackie. He sold Blackie in 2004 for just short of a million dollars in aid of the Crossroads Centre.

  • Ginger has really become old, him playing on this video is not even a shadow of himself. Looks like the drugs blew out his brain.

  • he's the oldest in cream, man(6 years older than clapton..). 66 years old in this video...

  • Ginger Baker looked old even when he was young, in the sixties, like Van Morrison

  • Why is it that these days people are only impressed by the speed of todays musicians? So what if someone can do a solo with 37 notes per second if it's just three different notes... Or if he runs down the same scales like his hands were on fire... Why do people see past the creativity of some guitarists? Take this solo for example, it's unbelievably good, not because there's a lot of notes squeezed in to the shortest possible time, but because it's a musically great piece to listen to.

  • Absolutely true! (Blues is an amazing style of music too).

  • damn clapton is still as good as he was back in the day. he will never be past his prime

  • wheres the wah wah!!!!

  • cool man cool song what can ı say thıs clip perfect

  • proof that clapton is god

  • FUCK NO!

  • Im commenting to the description, it's probally the drugs that screwed up his voice... (thats my completely unprofessional guess.

  • Not only his Clapton's voice better, he can rip it up better than ever on his gee-tar.

  • Yeah. I agree.. now clapton's voice is better

  • Skim Milk!

  • jack bruce was a better singer than eric clapton when they were young, now its the opposite :o

  • It's a more mature version, and the sound isn't that loud as you want, but the musicality it has is just amazing, and what about the solo!!!!!!! Clapton is one of the best guitar players in the whole world

  • i like the "old-fashioned" music, like hendrix, cream, zeppelin and so on.

i think it's sad that some of the "old guys" lost their appearance on stage.

and i think that the sound isn't as good as it was 30 years ago, for example the solo of this song, watch the vid of a gig that was played in the 60s oder 70s and you rocognize that the sound is much thicker.

    but nevertheless: great performance!

  • clapton and hendrix, one word- gods

  • Maybe yours, but one is dead.

  • i like so much!!!

  • cream rocks!!!!

  • Great solo, at 4:35 there's a bit that i really like and its actually quite simple to play which is nice.

  • Slowhand looks as though he's about to collapse. Amazing that he could perform the entire show without making huge mistakes. The solo is awesome.

  • he may have missed nap time

  • he is sick with the flu...its in the description

  • Fuck Yeah!!!!

    i love gary glitter!

  • They're still amazing man. They were amazing in the 60's, they were amazing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and they're amazing now.

  • Ginger's drumming is amazing in this.

  • It's good, but why no wah? It can't compare to the original album version w/o wah.

That's my 1st thought when I think about this song, Clapton rocking the wah pedal.

  • Many people play Guitar, not all play Music. Clapton plays MUSIC.

  • Eric Clapton - possibly the best guitarist in the world.

  • **OPINION**

  • *duh*

  • außergewöhnlich, großartig

  • if u read the Clapton biography (i recommend it) he says he had a nasty bout of the flu this night. I can't tell!

    CREAM 4EVER!

  • Their tone has improved....interesting with a strat too haha.

  • I prefer the old sound using old pa's and amps personally but I get what you mean :)

  • Ya I love his old tone, but he's one of the few, besides David Gilmour, that could make a strat sound so beefy.

  • fuckin great solo

  • muy buen tema!!!! , ginger baker que grande ni hablar de los otros dos mounstruos!! aguante CREAM !!

  • They're still menace to the whole world, amazing

  • They're too old I think, but still a great performance.

Clapton is as great as he has ever been.

  • Too old for what? We all got two choices, get older or die! These old guys got older and are still as good as ever, all of them.

  • nowhere NEAR as good as ever.

This seemed like a bunch of really tired guys doing an encore they can't quite summon the energy to accomplish without bumped notes, lost time and an ammatureish finish - with stumbling around the stage to boot!

  • I say if you can't play or sing then be critical of legends. I didn't see any amatures. I missed the stumbling too. I did see 3 aging "greats" that covered their own song after almost 40 years. That's amazing. It's not identical to their origional. Live versions never are. It's just as good though as anytime they ever performed it.

  • right on! ur totally rite luv!!

  • whatever man, melted my face,i didn't even know this was an encore till you said it, sounds good enough to be an encore though this band

  • Fucking hey!

  • YEAH!!!!!!!

  • after watchin this, now go back to the final concert in '68 at royal albert hall, same song. unbelievable

  • that's true...

  • that solo is fuckin awesome

  • dude, ALL their solos are fucking amazing!

  • watch grandpa pound those drums, fucking awesome! still rockin out like he's in his early 20's!!! now thats rock n' roll...

  • Qualuds500s.hell yea.and a 59 rolls silver cloud.

  • HAUNTING.. To here this again is like the first time..what was it, 68? Don't grow old, stay the same, oh what happened? those years went so fast. Damn I wish I could go back! one more go-round..Thanks guys and thank you

    for posting this video.

Now its time to take my prune juice.

  • dam! Clapton KILLS that ending solo!!!! Always gives me chills listening to it

  • wonderful tonight, tears in heaven written by eRicK himself, all others are guided by his"heroes" or just adult oriented (R)pop.layla is story by erick but music duane allman, quated by eric himself, just average songwriter but master of his instrument.

  • eric sings a lot!

  • The Who > Led Zeppelin > Cream > All

  • Well, i Think clapton is proly the biggest rock dissapoinment..i mean after cream ended, he wasted the talent god gave him in his solo career...in which he only got 3 or 4 good themes but if u want Clapton at his peak, listen to Cream

  • alexander, sounds like you have some issues to work out....

  • sounds like you suck dick

  • You are watching a true Supergroup. If you had any respect for music or ppl. in general you would not attach childish offtopic comments to a piece of Rock History. Clapton/Bruce/Baker thank you all.

  • This song rocks!

  • 日本でもCREAM見たい!

  • great version

  • he stopped with smoking an alcohol ages ago you ignorant fuck face

  • Mr. Clapton plays his guitar-solo without a cry-baby (wah) pedal... Shit...

  • Tja, wenn Profi-Opas einfach um Lichtjahre besser sind als ihre hirnentleert rappenden Enkel ...

  • awseome song, but sounds weak here
