Nerses could have saved alot of time, if you get dark pheonix to activate on a disruptor and cancel into gravity squeeze, he'll start the gravity squeeze animation while she transforms and it'll land as soon as shes vulnerable.

I think Clockwork picks unbalanced teams. Amaterasu and Phoenix have extremely poor stamina, and it seems to me Dr. Doom's high health is offset by his low damage. So when things don't go as he expects, Clockwork doesn't have a character who can weather it, chew up some time so he can figure out a new strategy (or build new meter for Phoenix). I think he needs a Tron, Hulk, She-Hulk or Wesker on his teams.
Good point. But I don't think Clockwork avoids doing damage with Dr. Doom! Probably he's just stuck with the low-damage combos because Dr. Doom needs a super (Level 1 rising laser, Level 3 "guinea pig") to do the big damage.
@derekmok actually 2 buktooth loops and 2 footdive corner loops should net you at least 600++k damage just off his normals, but yeah. to really kill something with doom you mostly need an assist + lvl 1 or lvl 3

In most of the clockwork matches I've seen it usually ends having Ammy and Doom dying instantly and forcing clockwork to bring everything back with Dark Phoenix, due to the random nature of this game this is not a reliable strategy at all and we can see that in this set

My point was that saying Clock needs to drop Doom and can only win with Dark Phoenix is wrong and shows you have little understanding of him or his team. He consistently makes top 8 at tournaments, has made several grand finals appearances and even finished first place a few times. Clock is a great MvC player and should be respected as such. He put a big hurt on Magneto in the final match and was a hit or two from killing him and killed him in the 2nd match. I feel that he should start using meter when he gets 4 bars, it's rare that you don't build 1 meter even while being beat to death, though this is still a huge gamble cause phoenix has like 2 hp.
