I watched all the seasons all over again this month and I can´t stand that Joey and Dawson are not together. They are meant to each other.

It also creeps me out because I have quite similar relationship, we just never have the right timing but it´s as pure, innocent and passionate at the same time as the relationship what Joey and Dawson have. And .. I just wish they were together since I wish for me and "him", too :)

@12345diary it only ended with pacey cuz kevin williamson left after season 2 and when he came back for the finale, he felt it should end with pacey ONLY cuz pj had been together the longest and that was ONLY cuz the writers weren't as good as Kevin Williamson, that's why seasons 3-6 weren't as good, even if dj had been together it still wouldn't have been as good as 1-2 cuz of the writers

@ljcollins78 Have you seen the extended version of the series finale? There is commentary by Kevin Williamson and Paul Stupin. Kevin indicated that it was his intention to write a Dawson/Joey ending, but he changed his mind based on the scene early in the finale when he saw how Pacey and Joey hugged each other for the first time. It was at that point he decided that it made more sense that Joey chose to be with Pacey. It would have made more sense if he had relied on Seasons 3-6.

I think Mr Williamson said himself that the Joey and Dawson connection was the heart and theme of the show but that it was a relationship that couldn't have worked in reality. Hence Joey/Pacey, a couple who really challenge each other but aren't so dependant on each other. Personally I can't stand Dawson, his attitude to Joey, especially Season 3, was downright nasty. As if she belonged to him, like a possession. Passive aggressive emotional blackmail ain't attractive to the ladies. Go Pacey!

@kookyChimes woooooooo.remember now, that dawson would have been the first one to make love to joey first in the 1st episode of that season, but he was scaried of joey hurting him again, as to why pacey stepped in. This episode was the one defining moment that everybody that was a dawson creek fan they were waiting for. I was like FINALLY took him 6 seasons but joey was stubborn still never wanted to admit what happened when they slept together were real because dawsons knew what he wanted

Actually Kevin's original ending in the finale was that Dawson and Joey would end up together and it was going to be indicated that Pacey and Andie would begin something again but then the WB stepped in and well...we got the trainwreck that was the last episode of DC...don't even get me started I have the original script and ideas and what happened isn't what was originally going to happen!

@wonderouseyes I would have liked Kevin's ending, but I think he screwed the pooch by exiting after only two seasons to work on other shows that didn't even make it out of their 1st seasons. Knowing the show was originally based on parts of his life, I would have really liked to see where the story would have gone with him overseeing beyond season 2.

OMGosh, i have wanted to say this for so long about this one Love scene. Not because I'm forever a P/Jers, because its the truth. First, the scene is sexy hot for only one reason the SONG! Look at these two on mute. There not even really kissing each other, and at one point you can see James push away from katie. both have their mouth shut tight, and they had to edit it for more touching even though there isn't. I'm sorry but look back in S2 and see the diff. Its so clear!

I noticed awkwardness. And it_IS_one of 2sexiest songs ever on DC. Interestingly the 2nd is D's other important "1st time"-with Jen in NH. In behalf of D/J I saw D pulling away but only to gaze sweetly into J's eyes. At another point they sort of struggle to keep their lips together. I attribute that to clothing rearrangement we're not allowed to see. It goes along with the subtlety of the whole scene. Notice how music overshadowed love-making sounds with 1 kiss sound gratuitously added?

See to start off the scene when they kiss it starts well...causious, but D pulls close to J. NOW TO "1:34", I see D stop kissing to lay J romantically on the bed, not always an easy task. Notice they resume kissing.

Rethinking movement sequencing makes me rethink music. Scene synced to fit music! ex."Hunger"-Ds face; "Sweetness"-Js face. 0.1-.34=foreplay, .35-.47 =GP symbol. consummation. May have been wrong re the(I'd thought slobbery)gratuitous kiss sound around 1.20-1.29? Think it's woman &/or man's incredibly soft whispers. This was the _1_luv scene D/J were EVER to have. HAD to be well orchestrated. P/Jers know why only one. D/J analyzed much & humored little. P/J surpassed chemistry; soulmates.
