thats because most ferrari owners never drive their ferraris and if you let a car sit in a garage for all of its life and rarely turn it on, things start to fall apart and it doesn't get serviced regularly.
That's when you do what a typical Ferrari owner does (aka my neighbor) and start it every other day or so and let it run for about 2 minutes w/o any air or anything, keeping it idol.
well, my mistake, you should do that with every sports car if its not driven very much, same with bikes but w.e you guys get what I am saying hopefully.
Another Ferrari owner (my neighbor) goes around my road which is a 1 mile loop at about 10mph once a week making sure that the paint is unscaved by all the nasty things outside his garage. Yeah the new rules state that no bike can be above the 800cc displacement for FIM, AMA says v twins can go up to 1350cc's but they did that for the buells.
I'll let you know when I get my 1098 at the end of the week. Seems to be that all the bikes stop at 186mph/299kph unless they are modded so I doubt it will be any faster than that, but we will see.

let me explain it simply. gsxr 1000, cbr 1000, zx10r and the yzfr1 are all cheap aka made cheap built cheat and cheap to run. the ducati is a italian stallion its high in quality high in power made brilliantly and the style is far better then any other bike from above. answer your question?

Haha since when have Italian's made a bike that's as reliable as a jap bike? Or a car even!? Ducati is nice, costs too much and i'd much rather build something so much better with the money!

The 1098 is what the 999 should have been. Well, the 999 still kicked arse all around but I personally like the aesthetics of the 1098 better. Too bad they are over the displacement limit..? Hm.. to buy one or not to buy one.

Yeah the new rules state that no bike can be above the 800cc displacement for FIM, AMA says v twins can go up to 1350cc's but they did that for the buells.

I'll let you know when I get my 1098 at the end of the week. Seems to be that all the bikes stop at 186mph/299kph unless they are modded so I doubt it will be any faster than that, but we will see.
