Its kind of weird that I am reading all these comments about the "lame lyrics", and how much this song "sucks". I have to guess these people are too young to remember Van Halen with Roth in the 80's. Tattoo is exactly the sound they had then. Their lyrics have always been strange and off the wall. Go back and listen to the first few records objectively, and you'll agree.
If VH really wanna capture that old classic MK1 feel (assuming they do) they need to do two things. 1. Cut back on the double tracked guitars (Eddie rarely double tracked back in the day), and 2. Get Ted Templeman in. This sounds like something off Dave's 'A Little Ain't Enough' album.
I agree that this song isn't all that great. But I don't think it's fair to judge until the rest of the album comes out. Then we will know what they really sound like

One thing is clear if you saw VH sing those songs at Cafe Wha? last week............Eddie & Wolfy are louder than Dave for a reason. VH was one of the greatest bands on the planet during the 70's, 80's & the early to mid 90's. They had their time......it's just not now."
The members of Van Halen should all have tattoos of assholes around there lips because this song sucks shit.
