The graphics suck compared to today, but this boxing game had an incredible roster of fighters. Julio Caesar Chavez, Hector Camacho, Jack Dempsey, Archie Moore, Joe Louis, the list goes on and on.

Things that FNR3 needs that Knockout Kings 01 has: Punching while clinching, AI with stamina that is not conservative, AI who slugs back and not just runs and goes to a 100% defence when close to being Ko'ed, 3 commentators. I also like how career mode works in KK01.

FNR3 seems too bulky for me. I also didn't like how every things pre-set in career mode. FNR2 Is better IMO. As far as the Knockout Kings series, I prefer 2002.

Easily, this game doesn't have ridiculous 5 second parries, that alone makes it a lot more realistic than Shit Night Round 3.

But for instance take the graphics of "knockout kings" the boxers do not move as fluidly as they would in real life or fnr3.

And the punching system is so bad.

If you want to get a realistic boxing game then i suggest you get FNR3

yeah i played VB2 it is pretty realistic. The thing is "knockout kings" boxers dont move smoothly like a real boxer would ..it is kind of all juddery. Its an allright game if you like that type. I just think the gameplay on FNR3 is better..but thats just my opinion.

realistcally speaking, considering the generation gap in games between this and FNR3.. i'd say this is definitely the better game. they didnt have the technology then that they do now.. but imagine if they did have it back then.. how amazing of a game this would have been.
