Jack is the most funny in this and Shelly's horrible acting and inccenant stupididy(her character) just adds to the hilarty. Even now when I know this movie's gonna be on I can't wait to watch it. unfortunately the french dubbing is not so mythic. "redrum" is "murder" backwards, as shown in the scene. its also "red rum." rum's an alcoholic drink like captain morgans - colored red like blood in the phrase "red rum". remember that jacks character is a recovering alcoholic. hence the rum. its red like blood because jack becomes murderous. jakcs a great actor but the french voice over actors suck major donkey phallus. the real actors r far better. the actor doing jacks voice is no nicholson.

Thats why I think all movies should just add subtitles instead of trying to do the voice over thing. You take away some of the actors brilliance in a scene when you take away his voice. Even if it is in a language you don't understand no body can match the original character voice.
