what about baby carrots? they're organisms too. no one cares about all the vegetables that are SLAUGHTERED every day. im sure they like hangin out in the dirt all day and enjoy the sun just like chickens, but we love vegetables too much to care about their feelings. im not sayin what these slaughter houses are doin is ok but ehh. its a chicken. they're delicious and i'd rather spend my time saving cuter animals.

agree that animals are meant for eating (in moderation) but the treatment before they are killed is important. Growing up I saw chickens have their head axed off an a tree stump, those chicken ended up on our dinner plates that evening. It was fresh, hormone and antibiotic free. These chicken lived their life in the fresh air, sunshine and were not subjected to inhumane treatment. I consider that to be food that is healthy for the mind, body and spirit
