So the parents didn't know their faith was not enough! God expects the one to be healed to believe in Jesus and to make the healing effective that person to be healed has to have faith in healing in prayer & have expectant faith established. If the child is too young to understand this principle she could be delivered. I mean by Death. The parents should have helped her by going to the Hospital not to lessen their faith but to give the maximum opportunity for their child to live!
Seek a doctor's help and pray as you go when it comes to children and adults. God can use a doctor to help diagnose and view the dangers and the parents can get God's help along with the doctors. Well I don't know about last ditch effort, but it certainly shouldn't be the only ditch effort. This is tragic for all involved. I think the sentence should've been harsher. I'm sure they didn't mean for her to die, but it is not acceptable to not provide life saving care.
