  • That's why they molded him to be paul by giving him music lessions, bass, and vocal lessons.

  • In that last picture, Paul looks just like Fred Savage!

  • Get shivers at 5:00

  • I love raunchy!

  • Nice mullet Paul ;)

  • are they crazy? the diffence of age between george and paul is seven months and a couple of days, not a year and a hald, or nine months hahahahaha

  • He was always 9 months older then me............ even now he's still 9 months older then me lmao George wow that's funny :D)

  • Makes me smile when Paul is talking bout the bus ride, just a magical moment that would have been to witness

  • That interview was pretty "raunchy", but I loved it regardless!

  • 5:14 AW! They were so adorable and baby-faced!

  • @LaBelleParisienne1 Agreed!Especially Paul,he looks like a porcelain doll

  • Oh, George. You and your wit.

  • McCartney loves an audience-it's like an addiction-even if the audience is a camera, he looks like it's fun....thanks.

  • paul is adorable.

  • Diddo to lizzabbott

I was truly blessed to have seen my idol (Paul) Aug. 15, 2010 in concert in Philly and now almost 2weeeks later I still have tears of joy!! Love those guys.

  • @arc01arc I saw him August 12 in Montreal and it was a night to remember wasn't it? Three solid hours. He's amazing...

  • that is a great clip....now do you think it was just chance...or something devine...?

think about it...jfk was assasinated november 22 1963...the kids..the adults of the u.s. and the world mourned the death of this young, handsome president...

in the midst of that doom and gloom and the cold war....feb 9 1964...just ten weeks later...

here come the beatles...laughing, smiling having fun with all that talent...

lifted the spirits of the u.s. and the world...no coincidence

  • You. Idiot. People. Paul is still alive!!!!! He IS the real Paul, seriously guys.

  • @SnazySpaz The only way that Paul could be dead would be if he had an identical twin, with an identical voice, and identical talent taking his place.

  • Paul was 8 months older than George, not "a year and a half"

  • lol. Only Americans can start those "Paul is dead rumors" (Elvis, UFOs I'm just saying....). I personally don't believe in them. Paul doesn't believe he is dead either:)

  • @LittleMissTotoro The PID "rumor" (which is actually true) actually started in London in 1967.

  • @faulconandsnowjob Thanks:) Didn't know that! (and I call myself a Beatles fan. I'm a sad little creature. Gotta go rent more librarybooks I think.)

  • @faulconandsnowjob Paul isn't dead. What drug are you smoking?

  • @faulconandsnowjob have you seen the body? Obviously he's not dead. wow I can't believe that rumor is still going around.

  • @LittleMissTotoro

Yes, what drugs are you on?

  • Great video very good

  • "He was always nine month older than I... even now, he's still nine months older!"

  • @dragonston19 kew kew kachew!

  • Mrs. Robinson... lol

  • I think dragonston19 is implying that he has changed. "the real paul"?

  • @dragonston19 Paul isn't dead, stupid.

  • @dragonston19 paul isnt dead! only george and john

  • @dragonston19 i've heard about this bullshit, how he was taken in by someone called,, ahh, cant remember now, but mate, its bullshit, please have the common sense to know that.

  • @dragonston19 paul obviusly cant be dead if he can know all of that by memory perfectly he cant be lying

  • @dragonston19 dude paul isn't dead moron

  • @dragonston19 RIP Paul. We miss you!

  • @faulconandsnowjob dude.. paul isnt dead

  • this interview is from where ? i seen it on tv years ago ..maybe like 15yrs ago...anyone know what its called or if its on dvd ??

  • beatles anthology

  • It's from "The Beatles Anthology", aired in late 1994. It was released on a dvd box set in 1995 or 96, I think.

  • Comment removed

  • harrison? who? he is virtually unrecognisable to thine eyes.

  • who is the guy at the start of the interview?

  • george harrison

  • so the guy at the start - the first guy to be interviewed in this video - is george harrison and not john lennon? It's hard to tell, since John barely gave interviews toward the end of his life.

  • The guy at the start is Neil Aspinall, originally one of the early Beatles roadies. Later he was the chief of Apple Records. He died in march 2008 at the age of 66.

  • yeah, love it when Macca talks about seein John up there on stage for the 1st time,...goldern moments

  • i think they met ringo when they went abroad one time when they had some mad other guy for a drummer

  • where ringo ?

  • I think Ringo came alone a couple of years later

  • Why does Macca always get the age difference wrong with him and George? He always refers to George as his 'little brother' - makes John and Ringo his grandfathers!

  • where is the next video for this one?

  • I really really like how they talk about each other. Even if there were some problems at the end of the band, and some arguments, like in every good partnership, friendship or marriage, you can really see in these interviews from anthology how they loved and respected each other.

  • paul gets a bum deal i think in the 60,s he looked cool as fuck and he did co/write most of the bands best songs lets all bow at the church of mcartney

  • Count me in!

  • count me in, out, in, out

  • Whos the guy at the beginning?

  • The Beatles Roadie

    Neil Aspinal.

    He died last year

  • Mr. Harrison???

  • wow! Imagine being the driver on that late night bus 'ugh some pesky kids are playing music upstairs' , when in reality it was a historic moment for music and counterculture

  • nice thought

  • The picture at the end is frigging priceless.

  • does Paul EVER miss a chance to sing/play for the camera?

  • its sweet though. a performer to the bone

  • that's great!! i love these photos, do you know if i can find them anywhere in ithe internet?

  • Scouse proud!

  • how old is Paul in the first photo? Does anybody know?

  • the song at 2.09 is the delvinkings and the song is called "come go with me"

  • the name of the song is " 20 flight rock" by eddie cochrane, it was a skittle standard in that day, cochrane died in a car accident a few years later, paul does a good version of it on his trippin live albumx

  • 3:18 which song is he playing??? i really like it. please can any one be kind enough n tell me the song name cheers.

  • i saw paul mccartney at goodison park

    :D

  • OMG! When?!

  • I wish they interviewed Ringo here! But I still love Paul, John, and George! R.I.P. John Lennon and George Harrison

  • sigh.... where would we be without the Beatles?? The best band in the world, the best lads in the world! Thank you John, Paul, George & Ringo. We love you, YA! YA! YA!

  • @lizzabbott Totally agree with you... But OHHHHH, how I hate when people spell "Yeah" like "YA"..... How do you read that as "yeah?" Always wondered... I always read that as YA!!! like what someone says when they want a horse to go faster.... Like I read it to rhyme with LA as in (do re mi fa so LA ti do) lol... Do your thing... Just had to bring this up lol It's slang for Yes, I know... but it's in the dictionary as Yeah. For anyone who didn't know lol... "Ya" is quicker tho. Go for it.

  • @speeeee35 Right on...good point! It does look odd spelled that way, doesn't it? I think perhaps I was trying to avoid anyone misreading it as yay yay yay if I'd spelled it the correct way. But... again I agree it looks odd how I spelled it. A good practice to quit! :) Thank you! Cheers! Liz

  • What is the song at 2:09?

  • I <3 these guys to death.

    They changed my life.

    Paul <3 && John.

I wanted to see John I was born too late :(

  • the last song is something.

  • whats the last song.. dammit its on the tip of my tongue

  • its "Something". From the Abbey Road album.

  • One nice thing in that first meeting between John and Paul, is that one was in awe of the other from the moment they met, but they would play it cool to pretend otherwise. This is really awesome, because that tension helped to balance their partnership right away - it would be have been hard for one to be entirely condescending to the other. And in addition to that, this tension of each secretely trying to outdo the other made them eventually blossom as songwriters.

  • they were soooo cute at 14-16!!

  • lol 50 years old and still a cutie :s

  • I love paul!

  • Where is this interview from, is it a dvd or something?

  • It's from The Beatles Anthology series. A member called 'excessaccess' uploaded it all here on youtube in many parts. It's really long but very very interesting! I totally recommend it.

  • whos the guy in the big trenchcoat at the start?

its not john lennon in know that much

  • He's Neil Aspinall, roadie and friend.

  • i thought it was ivan vaughn.

  • Paul Rocks.

  • R.I.P. neil aspinall, beatles roadie and their longtime friend

  • 3:17-3:58 that was AWESOME! Hhahah

  • 20 flight rock baby!

    God Bless Eddie Cochran (RIP)

I love Paul's version too. No wonder Lennon was impressed!

  • Imagine if John and Paul had never met?, it seems that Paul and George were mates and probably would have started a group, (possibly performing as a duo like The Everly bros ). John would have stayed a Quarreyman for a while till he found success with another group and Ringo I think was with Rory Storm. Does anyone know who came up with the name 'The Beatles'?

  • John liked a band in the states named The crickets, which is part of the reason why he chose the name, the beatles. Another bug.

this could b a theory, i'm not sure, but i read it somewhere

  • Aha! Yes, Buddy Holly and the Crickets, now that you mention it I remember reading that too. So John choose the name, ( I'd forgotten, old age y'know) Thanks for reply.

  • yes. they were messing around with names and thought long john and the silver beetles... the bug theory because of the band the crickets. then someone, they still argue about who, said why not Beatles, like the beat of the drum

  • Thanks, yeah, I remember now that 'The Silver Beetles' was an early name. I know that the Liverpool music scene at the time was refered to as 'The Mersey Beat' but I'm pretty sure that phrase was coined after the success of The Beatles. I was trying to think of an alternative name they could have used and came up with 'Johnny and The Heartbeats' then later just 'The Heartbeats'. Actually I've just thought I'm pretty sure 'Heartbeat' was a Buddy Holly and the Crickets song, aint that WEIRD?

  • john came up with the name

  • they admired buddy holly , ( buddy holly and the crickets) and decide to go with beetles then changed to bEAtles as in a musical BEAT

  • it's so moving watching these interviews...my dad was a fan of the Beatles and all my childhood i listened to their songs....my kids in the future surely will,too...

  • wow! thanx for uploading this gem :]

  • It's too bad Paul and George's relationship went so downhill. I'm happy they got to make peace and spend time together right before George's death

  • George: "He (Paul) always ways nine months older than I. Even today he's STILL nine months older than I!"

    God Bless George Harrison.

  • Whos the guy at 1:17??

  • are you kidding thats george harrison

  • Paul is wrong, George isn't 1,5 years younger than him, he's 8 months younger.

  • I actually got chills during the last few seconds where they all appear in the black and white photo and then the last picture. That shows how magical they were.

  • RIP george and john

  • You know what his hair was HIDEOUS in the song "My Love" but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT SONG ITS SOOO CUTE WHEN HE IS DANCING WITH LINDA!!!

Its the best love song hes ever made!!

  • wheres Ringo

  • ringo didn't join the band till years later he joined not long before they were discovered

  • oh right thanx [=

  • =)) Brilliant 3 genius went same class =)

  • Same class ? But John is older than Paul and George.

  • That's awesome!!!

  • i love the ending!

  • Paul looks cute in the pictures

  • its george martin.

  • "He was always 9 months older then I, even now he's STILL 9 months older then I am" lol gotta love George. RIP George & John & Neil Aspinall.

  • man ur sooooo right i love the song my love but his hair is sooo ugly!!!! and he was dancing with his exwife right that song makes me wanna cry cause how he sings it like he really means it

  • If you're referring to Linda, you don't call a deceased spouse an "ex"! That's only if you're divorced.

  • who is the 1st guy in the vid ?

  • That's Neil Aspinall. He started out as their roadie/van driver in the early days, and ended up as head of their company, Apple Corps. He died earlier this year.

  • they are the most interesting band. i love hearing about them and how far they have come from being ordinary school boys.

  • I really enjoyed that. Was never much of a Beatle fan - except in 1964 when they were sooo cute & different.

Just wish Lennon & McCartney had continued writing songs & music for other more passionate performers.... Obviously, that would not include Yoko - LOL.

  • they are GODS!

  • their a legend <3

  • Paul's hair looks kinda cute!!

  • paul is always cute!!

except when he sang my love, it is like the music video.

    his hair was HIDIOUS!!

  • very well put together

  • Wow, what a wonderful interview. I love the Beatles. They are legend. I'm pretty sure they always will be.

  • This is a bit from the Anthology dvd series. If you're a fan you should watch the whole thing, it's really good.

  • That last photo is the best. The Eddie Cochran clip is outstanding.

  • 'Get to the top,I'm too tired to rock' Metaphor for McCartney's life maybe a little bit? LOL. I still love him though. Maybe that's a little unfair cause he's still been fantastic for decades and I love his voice. He's still a musical and artistic genius, whether he does rock or not. (Well he dos 'rock' but you know what I mean LOL).

  • fanastic video.

  • what song did he say?? that he had harrison play for lennon?? "raunchy" ??? anyone know??

  • sure...Dwayne Eddy tune.

  • I like George Harrison so much=). Thankyou for posting it. Where did you getting that clips?

  • Paul is a lot cooler than I ever gave him credit for. John still the best though!

  • Haha, look at George at 00:22, hes like, come and get some.

    lol i love him.

  • and when you do come get some more.lol

  • where is this interview from, does anybody know where to get the full interview from

  • This is from the Beatles Anthology DVDs.

  • thank you so much

  • aww, small little George.

  • i know!!

he was so cute and akward when he was a teenager.

    i love him though :D

  • Poor Ringo.

  • Ringo?

  • Wait who is the first person speaking?

  • i think its tony, there friend he wrote a book magical mystery tours.

  • it's Neil Aspinall their road manager! ;o)

  • Paul is soooo sweet and cute!!!

  • haha lol "Raunchy note perfect, ur in!" great

  • Oh, GOD (LOL!) would you quit??

  • Fascinating footage!

  • OMFG!!!!!!!!!

  • thats was Fucking awsome! i love this video!

  • aww...they looked so young back then!

  • Is this from The Beatles Anthology?

  • Yeah.

  • Why does Paul say that george was 1½ years younger than him while george just says 9 months?

  • In reality the age difference was about 8 months. 18.June 1942 -- 25.February 1943.

(although George for some reason claimed in the Anthology book that he was born on 24.February 1943)

  • I know, I looked it up,that's why I wonder why Paul says George is 18 months younger, when the difference is the half. Perhaps it's because he's always seen George as that much younger?

  • John also referred to George as three or four years younger than himself, even if George in reality was two years and four months younger.

It's trivial stuff like this that Beatles experts tend to know much better than The Beatles themselves.

  • George had discovered that he was born just before midnight.

  • Why do I get a -2 for telling the truth? I'm sorry for knowing more about George than you!

  • For years people celebrated George's birthday on Feb. 25, but it wasn't until late in life did he admit that his birthday was Feb. 24, and I also heard that he had no middle name. Is there any truth to this?

  • Yeah, I know. That's why I'm baffled I got a -2. It's true George's parents didn't give him a middle name, and I have no idea why. If I was him, I would have picked a middle name for myself! :)

  • his middle name was harold, like his fathers first name, twit.

  • Miss9starr7, you read that in one of Geoffrey Giuliano's books, right? He's the only person who ever said George's middle name was Harold. Even George's sister Louise said that GG goofed in getting George's name wrong. Who's the twit now?
