What are the fees like once you join a sorority? Do rushees get any special privileges once accepted like access to old tests, the best tutors etc?

Please tell me I'm wrong about this concept. However, it looks like an expensive way to get rich friends. I don't believe in paying $ to get friends.

i never understood this thing about fraternitys, probably because i´m european. It feels to me like some sort of idiotic sectarism. A way of keep apart people who´s not cool enough.But I may be wrong. Guys tend to be full petentious idiots and girls tend to be frivolous and have jelosy between them for no reason. And i don´t know about the show itself, may be was entertaining. I´m sorry if am a pesimist but usually i prefer animals to human beings. I gess you allready know i am a guy.

@p1ngu1no i dont really like the fraternity/sorority either. they do offer things like leadership opportunities and a new group of friends in a new place but in my experience they are very exclusionary. im an american in a state university and i have much more fun just throwing open, free parties for everyone

@nateman09 That´s the word i wanted to use "exclusionary" and that can´t be good. I mean, who needs a fraternity to make friends at college or university?. There´s plenty of people. And from a human/personal point of view it has to be more enriching to meet people from different social classes, races, cultures and beliefs. I´ve been an spanish inmigrant in England for 4 years and i made good English friends...because i really wanted to do it,instead of being in a reduced spanish group like most.

@xNeonBitch They were an independent sorority and aren't a part of the National Panhellenic Conference like most sororities. That's why they did the show, they needed the money.

I was never really fond of this show but when I saw Pauli (@ 5:03) then I watched. I loved what she said and her general attitude. She wanted to make sure the girls were there for the right reason(s).

This isn't the full episode. Candice and Jordan go to Justin's house and Candice acts a fool and gets on the pool table. Also, part of the meet and greet is missing. It's where all the pledges stand in front of the sisters and have to say how they'll make a good sister or roommate if picked, and Jordan says something corny like she'd share the bathroom.

BTW, Jordan went to my high school and yeah, she's a total witch. She wasn't even the type to join any clubs such as a sorority. She was a stuck-up loner who had a few popular friends and wouldn't give you the time of day. Any why does she sound like a man when she talks?

Jordan and Candice only wanted to pledge because MTV was there. The only one who was Jewish was Mara. I thought it was pretty clever how Jordan thought the sorority was evil, yet she stayed up until the last episode before telling them she wasn't going to join. Anything for attention!
