@Musicmanofawesome They tune a half step lower for this. But I've seen some other live versions of Help me where they change the key to a 3 half steps lower....they don't tune 3 half steps lower they just change the key to it.

@JeWlZ4eVa143 He's had a lot of vocal problems over the years. I've heard some interviews where he sounds so raspy it's hard to listen to him talk. He seems to have gotten most of that straightened out though. I believe I read an article that said he basically blew his vocal chords out around the time they recorded "Good Mourning"

@JeWlZ4eVa143 I hate studio tricks too but he doesn't have the strongest voice. Not a knock on him, but he'll never have the range of a solid front man. So they generally keep songs within his range. if a song goes high, Dan usually sings it. But a lot of acts want to put a show on the stage that sounds as close to the studio. Well in the studio the sound engineer basically changes everything. What he does helps smooth his voice out a little. it's not a huge change. We're not talking Autotune!

@lmcafnxma No. There's a distinct way to tell if somebody uses auto-tune. You can hear phaser and flange in there, as well as a few other aspects. No auto-tune.
