One thing people seem to forget is that colour affects the way a car looks, this car in that hideous snotty yellow makes it look terrible

Check it out in Black and blue or even red it looks 100x better

As for everyone screaming about dropping one fucking cylinder get a life, it doesn't matter:

old st: 225bhp, 0-60 6.4

New one: 247bhp, 0-60 6.1

Plus more torques and less emissions, cheaper road tax, honestly i don't know what people are complaining about this is a vast improvement IMHO

Give the focus design back to the Euro team. At least they did a good job. Looks like a dead frog with its mouth left open. Also the main draw card for the ST was the 5 cylinder engine. Nothing in its class could compare to it. Now it will be just another "hot hatch" Anyone say Golf GTI now?

The concept is nice but ford screwed up not making the American version 4WD. Europe has the choice of 4WD. it's a ford and the interior and styling isn't worth $27,000 to $32,000. Rather go with a WRX, mazda speed, or spend the extra money for a STI, or EVO. The SRT 4 neon was crap and I think the American version of this car will be too.

I own a 2008 st, its done 20k miles. Ford, Fix or repair daily, Warranties arent worth a wank, Fords a shocking company to deal with, will never go near ford ever again! My one and only regret in life is buying one.. Fords websites promote, "outstanding products & services" Clearly they dont understand the word outstanding, think they meant to type, "outrageous".... So my advice to anyone and everyone is walk away! find a brand that understands the meaning of the words quality and outstanding

US was teased by the Focus RS for years, tired of the whining! We're finally getting a Turbo charged focus, that's awesome. Styling is growing on me and I'm sure it will look great in something other than this weird gold/orange. Grill is kinda similar to the new Evo, wheels are too "teki" for me. Wish they'd gone all out and made it AWD but that's asking too much from Ford unfortunately. I'm still pumped and plan on buying one though, can't wait to test drive it

Great, great design! Front end may be THE BEST, cleanest small car nose on the market. Very European. Whole thing is taut, masculine, edgy and ALL THE SHAPES belong to the same family which gives the design integrity. Fords of the past have often looked as if designed by committee of first year design students. This is hot...Bravo, Ford. Makes me want one.

BoyOfSteel, I agree the rs is meant to be beat to hell, but the only way I'd ever see it here in the states, unfortunately, is if it were downtuned and about 200lbs heavier to meet safety specs. I wish I could own the version the rest of the world gets to cream to. Like I said though... I'd rather have to pay to have that particular model upped in hp and reduced in weight just to have it here.

@markloki2 This is a pre-production unit. Virtually every pre-production unit from Ford's to BMW's will have creaks, groans, rattles in the suspension and interior bay. It'll be ironed out by launch. :-) And I'm sure they didn't floor it because they're on open-public streets.

The european focus has always been better than its american counterpart....we americans get the bottom of the barrel focus..while the europeans get all kinds of focus's with different trim levels.The closest thing we got to a european version was the svt model which is nothing more than a st170 in europe.I always hope that ford would bring the rs focus to america.
