Yes, it was 84...and it was produced by Sinatra. And it was his idea to have the Reagan's in the chairs. And when it came to Reagan, a lot of people had a lot to say about a lot of nothing. Sinatra got Kennedy elected so that says a lot for how Reagan was loved in Hollywood..and in America.

Actually, it was the 1980 Reagan pre-inaugural gala. The show was criticized by some who felt the Reagans came across as "royality" as both were perched in large chairs in front of the performers. You can catch a glimpse of the back of Ron & Nancy's heads at the very end. Great video, great performer.

Yes, he DOES look and sound great - when you consider that he was 68 years old, in 1985!!! And he was still as handsome as ever (In fact, I reckon a little bit more so, because the grey hair, and the few extra lines suited him!! (Really only lost those looks when he was in the grip of the emphysema, and lung cancer, from which he died in 1995!!)
