  • Some of the best pacing I've seen, great work!

  • In Texas everything is Bigger and Faster

  • Hey belgiandriver602 ? No freight train in the USA has ever gone 120-130, not even Santa Fe freights ! What kind of Pot were you smoking back in the 70's ? I'm sure some Santa Fe Hoggers would verify my comment

  • nice clear pacing shot !great video!you must got a steady hand.

  • They also passed trains in Hereford on 1 track, using a siding and thye had to have perfect timing as one had to clear the main just before the engines arrived. Saw it done lots of times.

  • Nice shots. Used to live in Hereford. Thats a 79 MPH track. In the 70s Sante Fe would run 120-130 through there pulling stacks. Welded rail and solid bed but at that speed they look like they swayed more than they did because when you look 1 goes 1 way the next the other. Ran a bullwagon lots of times from Amarillo to Belen and back.

  • Two long one short one long -- -- o ----------

  • ESSA VELOCIDADE É UM SONHO PARA NOS MAQUINISTAS DO BRASIL...

THIS HIGH SPEED IS A DREAM FOR US, ENGINEERS OF BRAZIL...

  • good work Geoff

  • Great pacing video! Glad to see the update to some of your earlier west Texas vids!

  • I can tell by your fight with stability that US road quality hasn't improved!

  • AMERICAN TRAINS=SLOW SLOW SLOW

  • @odin422 That train I'll bet is pulling almost TWICE the weight most foreign trains can. Considering the load its pulling, I'd say FAST FAST FAST

  • @starguard i wish that was the case, but it simply is not, if you look into China's rail system it's plain to see. dont take my word for it

  • @odin422: Passenger and freight are two entirely different things, running freights faster than 90 mph really isnt safe, way too many things to go wrong.

  • @nikosjk1 why is it constantly honking? ( dont know what the word is called in english)

  • @Denmarkpwns: To warn people that the train is approaching the crossing...

  • @nikosjk1 it was blowing the horn constantly, over 6 minutes... do the crossing have some kind of magic apparatus that make you able to hear things FAR FAR FAR away?

  • @Denmarkpwns: What the hell are you talking about dude? He did the standard long long short long for every crossing and once to warn a signal maintainer.

  • @starguard

Intermodal trains barely weigh anything. Mixed freight is where all the weight is at.

  • Cool shots, wonder how often they lose boxes on those double stacks....

  • really good work Geoff.

  • great vid keep it up, hope you both are enjoying your time over there, amazing pics from brad on your website as well, what shocking distruction from a tornado. keep safe

  • cool great camera work

  • wow.. that is fast indeed
